Over training?

Anyone out there ever experienced over training? What effects did it have on you? How did you realize you were over training?

Major signs are tendons/joints hurting. Or not getting good sleep At all.. You will know if you're overtraining. It's harder to do than most people think

Fatigue, muscles have a spongy feeling to them and stop showing any changes, sometimes illnesses can happen as well

Is it possible to overtrain say one particular muscle group? Where as all other workouts are normal, but hitting that certain muscle group lifts are weaker? Still always feel tired and lacking the normal motivation and drive

Take a few days off from that particular muscle group. Even a week. On that day, do just cardio or abs or another group you don't pay as much attention to. Then come back after the overtrained group has rested

No problem, good luck to you. Post again or feel free to PM me if you need anything else!

Well if you don't mind, what's your opinion on gaining mass working out everything twice a week. Six days on one day off

You suffer greater risk for overtraining with that.

I saw the best results I've ever seen when I did a 4 day split and only did about 4-5 exercises per body part, no lie.

Quantity isn't always a good thing....quality exercises = always

I used the same routine to cut during the summer, but changed my diet from 30 carbs to about 300 carbs a day. I figured that would allow me to put the mass on and also reduced cardio. But I just haven't been diggin it like I was durin the summer. Thinking of doing three days on two off three on two off ect..
