Could we start a forum for the over 40 geezers on this board?

I think those of us in that age bracket sometimes have differant agendas, situations, needs, questions, and general life experiences to share with our fellow elders.

40-45, as I recall, is about when my body started to turn on me. Of course, it's different for everyone, but that's a generally accepted fact.

We "OLD-STERS" could really benefit from each others experience in a forum
just for .......OLDSTERS. That's not to say our younger members would be excluded.

Having BEEN there... that's about the time things like HRT, become a necessity, not a way to skip PCT. A big mistake in my opinion. And, after 40, steroids in general REALLY help our aging bodies stay strong, and maintain muscle mass, and overall good health.

If we are to continue our bodybuilding journey past 40,45,50 or even 60 years old, we truly can benefit greatly with the help of AAS, HGH, and their ancillaries to maintain muscle mass, joint flexibility and strength.


I think having a forum for the over 40 crowd would be AWESOME.

So when can we start?

I'm over 40 but I'm not ready to join the senior center yet.

Why not bring up those concerns here and whomever wants to join in can do so? No need to leave the party just to discuss something that may not pertain to everyone. No topic does.

Besides, the board would probably hardly move at all considering how tired and forgetful you old guys get. :)
 
bah.. I'm 26, and I hope to feel this way till i'm 60. I know a few 60 year olds that look like 40 year olds on other forums. Good diet, consistent educated training, and educated/conservative drug use is what they attribute their health and looks to.

test+gh used conservatively IS the fountain of youth. i'll consider gh when im in my 50's.. I think AAS alone will be enough in my 40's..

one life, one chance.

At 54, I would think YOU would want to get this started. It's not a matter of feeling old... It's a Forum about how to stay in that young and strong at heart frame of mind.
You would be a TREMENDOUS contributor.

A 30 year old has no clue what it's like at 40-55...How could he?

I'm 26, I have an 8 year old and 3 year old.. I have nothing better to do than to give a shit about how to keep my youth in my older days. Heh..we're not all fast and furious ass wipes.
 
Just turned 40 and I believe we have unique things to discuss. HRT, sex drive, balding, (not me) etc!

a 2.4 yr old grandson and a 1.5 yr old grand daughter..

my greatest joy after them and my wife..

looking better and lifting stronger than 26 yr olds at the gym.. now that's good times..

I'm with you bro. I'm 51. In better shape NOW, then I was at 26! :)

I have a home gym.... But i take my 16 year old son into the local 24 hour fitness.

Without sounding egotistical, I got most of the "kids" beat in strength and physique.

As I have said many times... 50 is not a death sentence.
Age is a state of mind and hard work.

Help us push for this over 40 forum, bro. PM Admin.

i think it is a good idea---and i think it adds addition legitimacy to the site in that there is significant amount of gear users that are not natty 10% body fat anymore

That's unfortunate- I was really looking forward to it. I think there are many issues- health related and otherwise- that come into play when you get a bit older. The Senior circuit forum would have made for some great discussions without detracting space from the other board. Just my 2.

My head is shaved right now, but my facial hair is about half and half gray and brown, and I couldn't care less. I'll never color it.

Gray is OK!

Just For Men? ... If you are 55 or younger, you can pull it off... if you leave some gray. Still, there's the upkeep of coloring every 4 weeks though.

You can pull off a shaved head better then a younger guy too, IMO.

What I can't stand are the fucking cheap Toupe's. I'll point and laugh right in the fuckers face.

I'm nearing that half century mark and agree that things are different in the last 10 years. I look for halfcent, pappad, nelson and others of similar age group in the weightlifting, powerlifting, and martial arts forums. In C&C, I stick mostly to the political , economy, and parenting threads and stay away from the "you're hot" threads.

I'm not sure a dedicated over 40 is necessary though. I do look in the HRT as I am on it but what would we talk about outside the forums I listed other than recovery is harder, being tired, balancing career and fitness as we climb into senior management etc. We could avoid some of the mindless banter threads but would miss out on many interesting and intelligent younger people.

Guess in the end, I am split on it. If it were here, I would definitely look but not sure how active it would be.

I love your enthusiasm hc, and in spirt, I agree. But I must say, another thing to consider is this; if someone posts any age related questions, will it immediately be moved to the "Over 40 " forum?

As it stands, I don't see the purpose for so many separate forums. When you attend a party, there aren't room delegated to topics of conversation. Why should that be the case here?

I already rethought my statement and posted as such. I do think there are many issues that concern us that are different than when we were in our 20s or 30s. You are right on the mark with this request and i would be a frequent visitor.
