Ouch...back pumps!

So I finally know what you guys are talking about with back pumps. At first I was like "cool, I'd love to have a pumped back!" Now it is so bad that after a few sets of squats I simply cannot go on. It is not something I can tough out and work through, it is totally crippling and I have to stop squatting. Today they were so bad that even when I moved to leg press I was still affected. Any suggestions?

taurine!

I've had back pumps but nothing crippling like you are mentioning. I've had compartment syndrome with the anterior part of the shins after doing calves which are extremely painful and made me stop doing calves hard. I should have never really worked calves hard anyway since they grow just thinking about calf raises. Lower back pumps though have made me quit workouts sooner than planned.

What is a good amount of taurine to help? Taurine is a B vitamin, no? Just preworkout, or do I need to take it daily? Does it hinder the "good" pumps as well?
