Order from UPS...

This may be a stupid question...

A friend of mine ordered something from the US. The company used UPS to send the package. It was suppose to make it on June 14th. Now, all he has received is the company catalogue and a "confirmation number"???

The package is worth about 500USD. It's fairly heavy and large and it is not illegal whatsoever; it's off a legit website, he paid with a credit card. He had it sent to his house.

How does UPS work in general?

Does he need to go pick it up somewhere?

What I'm asking is how does UPS work? Do they deliver to your house? This is a stupid question. The guy should have found out on his own, but he's somewhat of an idiot.

What's a UPS confirmation number mean? It's not a tracking number, I know that.

UPS does deliver to your house. Confirmation # may be Reference Number. You can track by tracking or reference#.

At least in the US you don't have to pick up your package. They go to your home, if your are not there they leave a note. You can call to pick it up or wait for the next day. UPS try 3 times to deliver. If they can't, they return the package to the sender.

I've gotten stuff through them, I wasnt home so I had to go to their location to get the stuff

Have him go to UPS.com and track the package with the tracking number. I use UPS frequently and haven't had a problem witht hem yet.

Big Andy tell me again what is the problem I am a ups supervisor and may be able to help you out.

They will try and deliver the package up to 3 times then they have to pick it up at the ups center located on the yellow slip if they do not pick it up it will go back to sender.
Is the package over 100lbs?
