Options for trucks? Dodge? Ford?

Well, I plan on keeping it until it falls apart. Everyone needs to have a truck. I hope it lasts a long time. I'd like to see at least 15 years out of it.

It can be done. My other truck is probably older than you are. :)

although you probably won't be able to fit a bike in it, like you mentioned, I think the chevy avalanche is a great vehicle. You get the best features of a pickup and full-size SUV. Get a set of rims and the truck is badass.

The F150 Lightning SVT is worth your look to.

I have a Ram with a long box, 318 engine.
Truck is ok BUT these fucking dodge trucks and minivans have problems with the transmissions.

I had problems with mine and I know several others as well.
Interesting enough this problem does not seem to occur with the Diesal 4x4 models. I know a couple people who have them and my dad has one as well and no problems.

Just my 2 cents.
That and is it me or does the new Dodge Ram have the ugliest front end now. Anf the back end is identical to the Ford F-150

I would Chevy/Gmc as I never hear of problems with those.

Best decision you will ever make is buying a dodge. I was going to do the same thing as you as far as the dakota goes. Then I drove a full size quad cab and I was sold. It was like sitting in a lazy boy recliner and to say that the 5.7 360 V-8 is totally awesome is an understatement. I now have a 5 inch lift kit on mine with a set of 35 inch Mickey Thompsons. It is a real head turner.

I bought a 2001 F150 lariat extended cab and wished to God that I had bought the four door model instead. Could've used the extra room. :)

i own a 2001 dodge dakota extra cab 4x4 with a 4.7l v8.. I LOVE THIS TRUCK! i used to drive a full size f150 lariat, but i like the dodge better since i really dont need a truck as big as an f150..

I would definitely go with the quad cab---if you plan on having it for the next 15 or so years --- you should spend a little more and get the quad--or at least I would:)
