Good to hear. Comier is the only one I think has a chance of coming close to Ronnie. Dennis James is looking awesome this year. Needless to ay, this years Mr O will be very interesting. To bad Flex and Lee ain't gonna be there

yeah at venice, I know guy too, but you guys who dont think chris is coming with a vengance are in for a surprise, the way he looked today man he was awesome.........he looks 10x's better than dennis james, and Im telling you weider didnt offer chris cormier a big signing bonus for nothing if he beats ronnie. Im telling you guys that dont think chris is the real deal, you guys are something,,,,,,,,if you saw what I saw today, you would be like damn..........ronnie was at the gym like 2 months ago, and him and chris is gonna be a good duel for the title. Animal B, yeah guy seems like he has taken a break from the action, I see him training people more than working out himself, but I know he will blow up in a couple months.
Actually this year's olympia may be competitive... dennis james looks bigger and freakier than i imagined you could in that time frame since i last saw a pic of him... hell i heard that even shawn ray is packing a lil more size this year... but ronnie doesn't ever look human so we'll see what he brings to the table...

I agree that if there is anyone out there that can beat Ronnie it would be Chris BUT I dont think it will happen. I cant see anyone else beating Chris. DJ looks huge but his legs lack to his upper body. Tom Prince has a great physique too but is the opposite of DJ. Shawn Ray is perfect but too small for the guys today. I see Ronnie taking the title again this year with Chris second and I see Ray, Prince and DJ up in the top 6. These are just my opinions and I will not know the deal until I sit my ass down at the prejudging and see what everyone brought to the table.
I will say this, This will be one of the, if not THE best Olympia ever. 22 guys up there and I would imagine everyone is bringing their "A" game. You have some great rookies coming up, Kamali, Titus, also the best of the best when it comes to Vetrans. I cant wait to get on the plane Thursday morning. See yas in Vegas!

I too think it will be the best Mr.O ever , you have all the greats of the past 10 years ( except for Flex and Dorian ) like Ronnie , Kevin , Nasser , Chris , Vince and Shawn plus the best of the best of the past 3-4 years of Marcus , Dexter , Orville , Dennis and Melvin to make it a great compeition.

Havoc, I agree he hasnt been here long enough but he caused some damage out here in NY at the NOC and if he has his shit together like I have heard he does then he will see top 6 I bet. I know for a fact that a few judges are looking forward to seeing him in shape and giving him what he deserves. I dont think Cutler will be up there. I think he is a great bodybuilder, they all are, but he seems to lack. I say this before I looked at your pics. I might be puttin my foot in my mouth.

No way that this is the best Olympia ever. Maybe if Flex had of been there in top shape then MAYBE but there is nothing special about this Olympia. Ronnie will win, Chris and Levrone closing in at 2nd and third. You have the rookies like Titus and Kamali but who cares? They're bums. This is going to a shitty Olympia with the exception of Dennis hopefully doing some minor damage on the top six.

I disagree, I have been at the Olympia every year since 98 when it was here in NY. You have 22 competitors and all will be in top shape. You have the little battles like Titus and Kamali, Titus and Anthony. You have DJ who has made tremendous gains, Cormier who is looking to dethrone Ronnie. The biggest Expo yet. Alot of new blood up on stage. You have 17 women competing in the Ms.O. Juliet Bergman is coming back from a 12 year layoff and hitting the stage in her 50s! How can this suck? For each is own but I I'll have my fun there, that you can count on.

since when can you tie for 1st place, or this an addition to this year's contest...the only contestants i have seen tie have been like 8th or lower place and that wasn't at an olympia eitherCN1 said:

Chris isn't going to do shit to Ronnie. Ronnie has a secure lock on the Mr.O unless he severely fucks up his conditioning. Chris will most likely get the nod for second seeing as EVERY OTHER GUY THERE IN THE POSSIBLE TOP SIX, NASSER, SHAWN, KEVIN, and now Chris will have placed second in the past 5 years. Want to talk about best MR.Oympia ever, then we'll talk about '98 when a new Mr.Olympia was to be crowned and the excitment as to who it was going to be was great. Or how about in '91 when Haney barely edged out Dorian for the record breaking 8 Olympia titles surpassing the legend Arnold. That is excitement and the type of events that make a Mr.O the best and most memorable.
I wont sit here all day and argue over whats excites you as to the Mr. Olympia. I just feel this will be a great show. You wanna rain on my parade, go right ahead. I feel there is alot of new blood coming in and in that case alot of guys are coming in top shape. I also feel the battles between Titus and Kamali are something this sport needed. It builds up the scenario of who is bringing their top game and backing up all their shit talking. If you feel it sucks then dont attend, thats all.

Hey Flex why are you always so bitter? It seems you always have to be a dick!! Anyways I believe this year will be exciting for the simple fact that I love bodybuilding, period. As for who will win, Ronnie will unless he does something wrong with his condioning. It will be a battle for second and that alone will bring some excitement. I wish I could be there but that's another story. Peace!!!

Well this all depends on how you percieve the Mr.O to be considered the "best" .... If you base it on excitement , milestone achievements , or turning points in the sport then yes I agree it probably won't be one of the best Mr.O's.
I was considering it to be the best Mr.O based on the quality of the competitors and overall number of top ranked athletes in the competition this year. There are a number of new faces that have just turned pro in the last fre years and these guys are winning pro events. This hasn't happened in a while with all of these new pros failing to place and disappearing off the face of the earth. Not only that but we have these new guys who look just as good as some of the veterens in the sport and I think we will finally see some of these new faces give the old guard a run for there money...

None of these guys would be placing well in the pro shows if everyone was competing. Remeber back in the day when Flex, Shawn, Vince, Paul Dillet, Levrone, Cormier, and Nasser were ALL doing the Ironman and Arnold classic and most guys hitting alot of the smaller shows as well? That is why none of the rookies were placing. If Flex, Ronnie, Chris, SHawn, Kevin, Nasser, and Paul Dillet(although I know he's been a flop as of late) were all to have done the Ironman and Arnold's none of these guys like Titus or Kamali would've been looked at serious.
It's just a case of nobodys beating nobodys. The only one that made a commendable try was Dennis James beating Cormier back a couple months ago although i can't off the top of my head remember what show it was. Chris was said to have been under the weather and those of us who have competed know you need to be 100% to look 100%.

Well, we all know it's Ronnie's show to lose. I'd like to see some of the smaller guys(shawn, dexter) to place higher. It's become a monster mash, and if ya don't have a GH gut, then why even show up.
Predictions-----
1. Ronnie-if he is tight(which I'm sure he will be)
2. Chris C.(maybe 3rd if Dennis is really tight)
3. Dennis J---Easily the most progress made in the last 2 years
4. Kevin L---If he is as tight as last year--Hard to deny
5. MarKas R--If he is very tight--The crowd will be behind him
6. Shawn R---Always in shape but very boring and doesnt really improve from year to year but still incredible
7. Orville---If in shape may be 5th if marcas doesnt come in shape
8. Jay Cutler -- only if he is really tight, which Im sure he will be...Could easily change placings with Marcus R.
9. Tom Prince---If he comes in the shape which he did at the Noc----he could easily be in the top 7
10. Nasser Sonbaty---If he doesn't come in very tight, he could easily fall out of the top 10---I thought he got a gift last year with his placing---He was not tight at all and marcus was a lot tighter then him
11. Dexter Jackson---Could easily trade places with anyone from 4th on down.
12. Craig Titus---Will be disappointed with his placing but will be deserved and will be out of the top 10

Nobodys talking about Matarazzo. If he shows up in top shape he will easily break the top ten.
Mad Mazz rocks, always puts on a great posing routine with lots of energy and intensity. I hope he places well. He's a little older than most of the guys but don't count him out yet.

Not that I know of. I'll be out there with 3 other couples but probably at the Expo by myself most of the time, friends cant deal with it as long as I can. Also some of the members on this board wont let you meet them in person as they wont fill the shoes of the 5'10" 330lb 10% bodybuilder that they claim to be over the net. Notice I said some! I know there are plenty of "REAL" people on here but you know there are some story tellers too.

I might make the trip seeing how they are offering 25 dollar round trip filghts from LA to vegas............well if you push the politics aside chris does have a chance, but realistically we know what will happen, but I have been thinking, joe weider offered chris a big contract if he beats ron, and remember when ronnie pissed off joe w. by doing the arnold classic..........well we will just have to wait and see..........but the area I noticed ronnie has chris beat is in the trap and shoulder area, not so much the shoulders, but ronnies traps stand up and chris's lay flat........it will be interesting, but Im not a judge and I am not joe W. but I said if chris doesnt tie ronnie, and one member blasted me......I meant if ronnie wins and chris was in just as good of shape that will be a tie..............they will just give it to ronnie based on the politics, Im serious chris is looking goooooooddddd!
