I've been trying to do olympic lifts lately with the 5x5 SF and was wondering if I should drop them to sets of 3 reps? what do you all think? Stay with 5 reps or drop to 3 reps?
 
It's no problem. Anything around 5-6 is pushing it anyway as things can start to break down. Do triples, doubles, singles whatever. Maybe cluster them a bit if you want to keep the spirit of the sets or just do whatever and get the work done as able.
 
I will drop them down to triples then. Madcow, should I amount up to 25 reps as in the 5x5 but maybe make it 8x3+1 rep, or should I Just do the normal 5 sets and it then becomes 5x3?
 
Figure out the weights you have to lift for each rep and get the number of lifts in. If it's in triples, doubles, or singles it won't matter too much provided you aren't taking massive rest between them or anything. But obviously 8 sets of 3 is 24 reps - probably good enough. It just needs to make sense and be doable with the program.
