Crap I got a 23.

Now part of that is due to having family in the very rural south where many of those things lived on longer than in the rest of the country. Also my good friend's dad restored those kinds of old cars when I was younger.

Still if doesn't help that I am now going grey on my temples along with my beard and a good bit of my hair, so all in all this quiz makes me feel very old.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I got 16.

Some things to add to that list...

Those orange bbq's shaped like a ball
8 track tapes
Lawn darts
Rock 'em, sock 'em robots
Short, stubby beer bottles
Pez dispensers
Tiny Tim
Computer punch cards
Downtown was wear you went to shop
Rollerskating
Firecrackers
Peyote, mescaline & crystal THC
Being able to smoke a cigarette anywhere
Hockey players without helmuts..even the goalies!

after reading that, I got out my Green Machine and smoked all the Big Wheels on the block.

What were those lil motorcycles that you pulled the string thing on then set on the ground and they'd take off? SSR's or something.

I actually had an Evel Knievel one of those....lol

All but numbers 8 and 10. Wait a sec -- "Butch wax"? You mean the stuff the barber used to make a flat top? We had it -- we just didn't call it that. So, 24 out of 25.

I not only remember the glass bottle Coke machine, I filled one -- at college. It was a bit of an antique, but we could still get bottles for it from the local distributor. It was a special privilege to get 10 cent Cokes when everyone else had to pay a quarter. And we turned the refrigerator up to the point they started to turn slushy, sometimes. Mmmmm.

I honestly remember 6 of them. Im only 18 years old. I have old family that leave old crap lying around...

I remember

5,6,12,16,21,22

Ugh, 25 out of 25.

Well, 24 if you consider that I have never personally experienced a party line, but I knew they existed.

A solid state Quasar tv.

I remembered all but 3. I guess I'm an old fart, but I can still put nearly all the young ones to shame in the gym. Hahahahaha.

Here's some more:

bottle cap candy
wacky packages
Mighty Mo's
paper airplanes with the rubberbands (they sucked)
Marathon bar
That electric football game that sucked ass. I played that for hours and hours.

The little manual hockey table
The first computer type ping pong game (the box was green)
Radio Shack ping pong games
a little dude named biteme that had the biggest imagination in the world, could play for hours by himself, fantacising that he was a pro athlete, mysterious cowboy that could not be killed, etc.

promise rings
mood rings
black lights
Farah Fawcett Poster (Jacked off to that many times)
Charlies Angels
Baretta
Fish
Barney Miller
The super heroes cartoon. (Diaper man, tornado man, rope man, strong man, cuckoo man)
The Hercules cartoon (With Johnny Nash singing the theme song)
Starsky and Hutch
Mission Impossible (I hated that show, it always meant bed time for us)
The late show ( with the little owl)
The Twilight Zone
Rollerderby

Crosley? Holy shit, they still put the Crosley name on TVs???

Crosley, yeah the same Crosley, in addition to TVs and refrigerators, used to make a small car whose engine block was made out of stamped steel instead of cast iron. It was folded and brazed, and I guess the actual cylinder liners would have to have been cast. We had a Crosley B&W TV for a while when I was a kid, we got it from my aunt when she died.

No way dude, Green Machines were the big wheels that you steered with those two joysticks......they rocked. :) Although AAP was too busy playing with Barbies to have actually had one.. ;)
