ok - women and eyebrows

ok, i'm a bit of an eyebrow connoisseur and kak can back me up on that...

but why don't some women pluck/wax? i have this co-worker who looks great except for the bushes she's growing over her eyes... i don't get it. eyebrows are the one thing that can make a face look radiant.

any thoughts? anyone agree/disagree?

he hee - the permanent surprise.
I remember my music teacher in elementary school had crazy eyebrows - I think she must have just shaved them off and then drawn them back in.

and as for surprise, I saw someone a year or two ago after a face lift and they looked surprised all the time - but that is different.

I admit I groom my eyebrows and I have a thing for girls with the thinner ones too I guess... although I'm not sure I qualify on this post as a guy - perhaps it is a chick thing :)

100% IN AGREEMENT!

Such a little thing, makes such a big impact. It's funny when I get my brows waxed or I clean them up a bit if I let them go out of laziness, my girls say, "Mommy, you have makeup on!" Nope, just waxed my brows.

My GF has to draw them in now because she tried waxing the insides and went a bit too far. They are growing back, but she still is missing 1/4 of her eyebrow :)

it's so true bikinimom!

all you have to do is clean up the underneath and maybe between the brows.. do that pencil test to see if the front needs to be taken back, and voila!

allure had a great issue about brows not long ago... and kevyn aucoin talks about them in his books.

hmm...never noticed to tell u the truth....guess it depends on the person. if shes got relly nice 'eyes' most men would probably be transfixed by them anyhow :mix:

Yes there are quite a few women that need to tend to their eyebrows....remember the whole Brooke Shields brow look....EEEK!! she was the only one that looked good like that. A pair of nicely shaped brows can certainly make the face look much better.

the worst thing about being a redhead (other than getting teased all my childhood life) is not having any eyebrows to speak of...

well i have them, they're just fine and red and you can't possibly see them unless you're looking for them :)

it just depends on the chick... now if you look like Walter Matthau then thats a different story...

don't say anything bad about Walter u S.O.B:mad:

some women look great with a natural eyebrow look... this waxing eyebrows and getting lines tatooed in sucks and looks shitty...

i can appreciate a well wax and shaped eyebrow but it would be better to leave it natural than get a botch job done.

which is why i pluck myself. there are kits that teach you how to do it too... but even if you just get rid of the strays underneath and find your natural arch that's better than nothing.

I don't give a shit as long as the chick doesn't have a unibrow.
Small you're turning me on.

I actually prefer women who possess natural beauty, without having to spend and hour in the mirror every day doing various things to their face and hair to feel good about themselves. Bushy eyebrows? What's the big deal?

uhhh - in a pic of you and one of your girlfriends she had very plucked eyebrows.
either you didn't notice or you thought it was natural

it just takes a few minutes, not hours. maybe a bit longer the first time you do it.

and i pluck and i think i look pretty natural.

True. Do you think my experience with her has ruined me to all plucked girls? I usually don't go for her type, though. This FUCKING gorgeous Russian girl I am dating now doesn't pluck, doesn't do anything with her beautiful blonde hair but comb it, and hardly wears any makeup. It takes me longer to shave than it takes her to get dressed and be ready to go somewhere. Her tits are real, too.

Im a guy and i get mine plucked and waxed every 10 monthes or so, they don't get bad but i just like it all neat and shit, im like a woman. haha

i have never noticed before, i have to trim mine because of my ethnic back ground, damm genes, i guess i really dont care how hairy a woman is, not like I have a choice right?! How the heck would i tell some girl to shave her crotch? I try to hint politely by hacking and coughing when going down, and then I spit up a hairball, but no one has taken the hint....if i like a girl i can learn to live with the small things...

is that the one who's the circus freak big j? ;)

You mean circus "phreak," Doll.

You are just jealous because she includes certain things in her diet you only wish you could eat :p

When are we all going to get together, anyway? :D

I do pluck. It looks clean, doesn't hide the brown eyes.
The challenge is making sure that one brow looks like the other, so I don't pluck too much. I'm not that coordinated.
