anyone from there? ever been there? i have to go to toledo for a day or two soon.
 
Much of Ohio is flat and boring...I don't even think they have the internet there except for maybe Cincinatti and Toledo.
 
I lived in Cincinnati for a few years. Just moved to Fl in March.
 
I think Powerslave is from that area.

Ohio has lots of powerlifters and metalheads; very strange country.

I live there....Cincinnati....Toledo has a great sk8 park I go to every now an then....But if you dont sk8...it might suck

Well then I got fuggin ripped off. Guys name was 'Wootoom' and every time the judge asked him a question, he responded with "lolloolololllololollo' or 'fuck off'. Got me off the hook though.
 
Well, Stilleto, I practiced law in Newport Kentucky, which is right across the river on the Kentucky side. I did practice in Cincinnati for a few years, but it was doing Kentucky law stuff (foreclosures).

Well, I actually call Ohio the "armpit" of the country...lol. I don't like it much there. It was the least favorite place I have ever lived. I couldn't suggest much fun to do in Toledo. If you want to go down to Cincinnati, go to King's Island. It's lots of fun. Longest wooden rollercoaster in the world is there. =-)

I doubt I would know a lawyer all the way up in Toledo. I know tons of em in Kentucky.

Stilleto, there are 4-5 restaurants on the water near a hockey arena. If you are looking for a place to eat, over there is nice.

And, if you like baseball, there's a minor league team that has a cool stadium.

That's all I know about Toledo.

its too hot.
i go there a lot for family matters and hate it the minute I get off the plane until i get into air conditioning.

LOL, no not with chefbone, but within the same city limits. Toledo has a lot more to offer than a lot of these hater's are letting yu on to believe. Let me know if there is anything you're looking for, or a nice restaurant, park, library, museum, etc....

I know where all the good bars are at, I'll keep you company, I'll be really funny and good looking after you have a few drinks.

Technically, I live in Springfield Township right acroos the line from Sylvania and a 1/4 mile from T-Town city limits.

I just ordered a sub from East of Chicago on Holland Sylvania, that's the farthest I go that way. How far from the high school are you?

Stilleto, I live in Cincinnati - but travel to Toledo where my company's corporate office is. I have been there (too many) times. I don't like to go there, there is nothing to do, the streets are desolate at 500pm and don't stray too far in the wrong direction of your hotel at night. I'm not bashing anyone who lives there...but I didn't enjoy myself any time I have ever been there.

But have a great time! :)

Let me know where you are staying and I'll at least tell you where to get some good eats.

I always liked Tony Packos in Sylvania. Would always stop to eat there on the way to northern Michigan to go snowmobiling each New Years. We always stopped on the way to pick up a friend in Sylvania. :)

The docks are great but the streets of downtown are deserted after 5:00. The docks were a rust belt re-vitalization effort.

I was only mentioning what I had experienced. In my other post to you, I apologized for ragging. :)

Just like Cincinnati or Toledo, there are the places others never see that are beautiful. Sorry for the put downs.

I did speak highly of the Packos... How's the new downtown location? I saw it was nearing completion when I left. I work for Manorcare so its down the street I think?

A few more cool places downtown now following the opening of the new stadium. We just need to blow up the east side of Toledo to clean things up.
 
Hopefully you're not driving. The cops there are anal as hell especially towards travelers and speeding.

I'm in Dayton (south of Toledo). I have no knowledge of Toledo. Past through there several times but never needed to stop.

During my short stay there...I heard the same. But damn....they did one hell of a job lol. She was wearing skin tight black and smelled like a basket of fruit. The table lifted a couple of inches as soon as she touched me.

Not for about 5 years or so. After a couple people got killed (one or two got thrown in the river, one out of the Basement) and an off-duty police officer got put in the hospital by a couple of bouncers - the city shut down pretty much everything. That was on the west bank. East bank has Rockbottom and used to have Aqua - until they raided it for all the drugs.
