My step mother's granddaughter is 14 years old. I just found out today that she is 6 months pregnant and the whole family just found out about it about a week and a half ago. How is it possible for a child to hide being pregnant for 6 months and no one have a clue? Not even the dad of the baby who by the way, is only 16. Why is it that she could not go to her mother with this? She delt with this for 6 months. She is a straight "A" student. She even made student of the year for the entire parish and state last year.

How sad!!!!!!!

why didn't she use protection? why did she choose to have sex at age 14? why did she hide something that would obviously be figured out eventually?

i got pregnant when i was 17, was in amazing shape- and i didnt start showing till i was 28 weeks. I didnt even start wearing maternity clothes until then........but then like within a week i looked like i had a turkey in me.........only could tell i was preg from the front though, from the back, well my ass just got bigger thats all

I do believe it is way too late for the why's now? Maybe they thought she was such a perfect child that she did not have to be taught about sex and protection and about how important it is to not have sex. They do seem to be that type of wrong. Ahhh, Tiff does no wrong. She's perfect. She made straight "A's". She is student of the year.

not to start a debate, but this is why in any school system sex should be talked about, and kids should be told they can protect themselves- and quit pushing all this abstinence shit......i knew how to protect myself, and i did, apparently i was just meant to have a kid- cause god knows we did everything right.......but anyways, parents should talk to their kids about sex too, but for those kids that done get the talk at home, they should get it elsewhere- like school- where trained professionals will tell them all they need to know- but then again you get into reasons why that cant happen......im rambling so sorry

actually this makes alot of sense. i get away with soooo much shit because my parents assume because i have awesome grades that i am an angel. (well, they have been catching on recently though and not trusting where i say i am going which sucks )

Kids think they are bullet proof. Protection? They don't need it, because it always happens to the other guy.

As for not showing until now. Hell you see stories all the time about kids hiding full term pregnancies from their families.

just to set my record straight, i didnt hide my pregnancy, told my mom when i was like 6weeks..........and i never thought i was invincible, just truly thought i was protected, i was on b/c and we were using a condom.......guess it wasnt enough. I love my little girl though
14, thats really sad- she has no idea what shes in for......... i dont understand why parents dont be more open with their kids, just because she makes good grades doesnt mean jack shit, dont people pay attention to their kids- i made straight A's and still managed to drink 5 out 7 nights of the weeks and wreak havoc......my parents worked nights though- so i knew i wouldnt get busted
