Oh man this is funny (another gym story)

For the past few weeks these new guys have been coming to the gym. One of them is the fat sloppy type, dresses like a wigga, thinks he's cool. Not a bad guy, but obviously a "newbie." The second one is skinnier, dresses like a wigga.

They are both friends with this guy that works at the gym, the dude is huge. Probably competes and wins everytime.

So anyways... they get one of these workout regimens that the owner makes up for them. Its like a five day split. Yesterday was my leg day and these guys were in their doing mostly wrist curls and arm exercises. One would spot the other as he would wrist curl the bar. They would do it till failure each time and scream in pain then proceed to beat the bench with their fists afterwards. It was so fucking stupid.

A few days ago I see them in their doing tricep kickbacks, TRICEP KICKBACKS so help me god with like 5 lb dumbells, not to mention bicep curls, 30 reps with a 10 lb. Ive never seen them squat or deadlift, thats what they need. The fatty needs the treadmill too. Why the hell are they trying to sculpt their muscles? Well I"m sorry I just had to let some steam off.

the good thing is that people like that make you appreciate so much more that you dont look like that. :D
 
You think people like that would be funny to watch, but it's too scary for me to watch. You can tell they go in with no knowledge of physical fitness what so ever and you can see them straining harder to think about what to do next.

Some of them do it half way though a set and they'll switch to a different position and being very aggressive about it. At that point it makes you kind of twitch when they do that because that's when the serious injury occurs. I've got to give them credit for at least getting up off there ass and trying, but most I question there motives for doing it.
 
Yeah, it's funny and sad at the same time. Funny because they think "dude, were going to get HUGE like our friend!", and sad they think they will get there on there current plan. At the same time, atleast they are in the gym, which is alot better than alot of people.
 
You gotta start somewhere!!

Whatever it takes for them to "psych up" enough to keep going.

They may be dorks but if they stick with it (Doubtful) they'll learn quite a bit and get fit.

Sounds like both of these kids have serious self-esteem problems.

We were all there at one time or another. ALL OF US.

Maybe not as DORKY but we were there.

No, I understand. I understand they are newbies, at least they are trying. Its just funny to see someone who doesnt have proper gym etiquitte (sp) and all. The thing is, I seriously doubt they know enough about basic nutrition. Honestly, I've only been taking my diet seriously for about the past two months. But i'm already seeing gains in strength and size. Its all about the diet. And tricep kickbacks arent' bad but....shouldn't they be sticking to mass building exercise? So they at least have SOMETHING to tone up?
 
DUDE, I think I saw them same guys at papa joes ordering a large pizza w/broccoli (nutrition) hahah.

They were talking about their killer forearm workout, and how their gonna do BIG COMPOUND MOVEMENTS next workout like reverse wrist curls.
 
Why doesn' the big lazy dumb fuck who is suppose to be their friend show them the proper methods to follow?
