What powers your workouts - What helps you recover throughout the day.


It should be interesting to see the differences, ect... no bashing allowed. Just post what you eat :RADAR :chomp:

I just ate a steak and egg submarine sandwich...it was tasty :)

started the day off shitty chocolate donut, sausage egg mcmuffic and a sausage biscuit with egg uggh feel like death right now but soon ill have some muscle milk glutamine and oats and for dinner some whole grain pasta tuna and a chicken breast
 
I had a Myoplex RTD Post workout (a.m.) then
Fresh Chicken (baked with Lemon Pepper Seasoning)
Granny Smith Apple
& some brown rice

I will repeat those until I get home then TRY not to eat the pizza & chese bread or drink the Red Wine in the fridge :chomp::evil: :)

a plate of sweet potato (good size one) and a pile of grilled chicken... dash of olive oil, and sea salt to taste.

Had some 1% Cottage cheese, & Shredded whaet & a H.B. egg for brekkie.
Had some turkey for lunch with an eensie amount of mashed potatos & macaroni >100g.
Just had a 1/2 muscle milk, 1/2 protein shake with Glutamine.
 
lol, you could've picked a less oblique way to get T to post his meals than pretending to care what most of us are eating.

I'd like to take a moment to get banned for advertising a product on the site: the George Foreman Grill. If you eat chicken breasts and don't own one of these, uh, buy one. :Chef:
 
Just had a 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese... mixed with a small diced apple, apple pie spice and two packets splenda. :chomp:

I'll be at the gym in 30-45 minutes....

you're better in the kitchen than i am for being able to use that damn GF grill. I gave that POS one of mine away. Everything i made on there came out dry. i prolly didn't know how to use it, but it was just a waste of space for me. I got one of those rectangular grill pans that you put on top of two burners on a gas stove, and it's awesome. steaks, chicken, turkey burgers...they all come out nice n tasty on this. i'm used to cooking meat on a gas grill, so maybe this was the problem - not used to cooking both sides at once!

glass of ruby red 100% grapefruit juice.

The equivalant of about ~9 egg whites via egg beaters, parma. cheese on there, and ketchup of course.

~.75 cup of oats with frozen mixed berries and cinnamon (splenda too)

4 Breakfast Tacos from what I would guess is the best taco place in the world. 2 Bacon, Egg, Cheese on Corn and 2 beana dn cheese. I loved every bite and am not looking forward to my upcoming cut!

Had some Cottage Cheese this am.
For brekkie I put 30g Cheerios, 175g Skim milk(less than a cup), and 1 scoop of muscle milk in a tupperware dish. Shook the hell out of it. Sooooooo good.
Just had 55g Mashed potatos and 175g dead cow.

Ok this is boring

I also weighed the same as I did yesterday morning.

Last meal was a homemade protein bar (oats, whey, milk, Splenda).

Once per semester somebody comes up to me and says "I always see you eating that. What is it?", and I never have a good answer beyond mumbling "some sort of brownie-ish device." Today was that day, and I still don't have a good answer - this semester it's a "cookie".

If I had some brews in the fridge I'd be having one... i'm too lazy to go back out now that I'm home, lol

missed a meal... 4 hours since last, but i'm not lifting tonight.

Not that it matters, but aside from the females, I dont think one person sub 10% bf has posted a meal......
 
I just bought a 1.5 pounds pack of meatballs because they were reduced as part of a promotion. I got home to find I had 1 pound of minced beef defrosted. All I can do is cook the lot and see what's left come tomorrow. I'll be cooking the mince with some onion, carrot and cabbage, maybe a tin of tomato. Should I mention that I'm munching nuts while it's cooking?

I used to be sub-10% BF so I know from experience that this is better.

Had a banana and a bowl of oatmeal with Cerelac and two boiled eggs for breakfast.
Now I'm having another banana followed by tuna in tomato sauce with onions and pasta.

Some days I get busy and forget... others I'm starving and eating every 2 hours on the dot. Most of the time I have to remind myself though :rolleyes:

lol, surprizingly I hold my weight easily... I'm sure my "on" days (meaning good eating days) with my "off" days balance out some how.

{plus I'm not back logging my meals here, although maybe I should... yeah that's a good idea.}

4:00pm a portion of "quick" (tasty) oats and some regular rolled oats on top (probably around 50 grams carbs)

6:00pm whey and juice during my workout (40 pro / 40-50 carbs)

yeah, food pretty pitiful today... Pasta and meatballs up next though :evil:
 
Since it's the weekend I don't have to head to campus immediately after eating, I'll post my breakfast:

huge bowl o' oats, egg whites, whey

Yes, I got my diet out of the November Flex.

2 cups of Egg Beaters, 2 slices of American Cheese...scrambled and ketchup.

1 cup of Rolled Oats, frozen mixed fruit, splenda & Cinnamon

~6 oz of grape fruit juice or something like that.


and a boatload of pills for my morning (lol, yup up a little later than I wanted to be) supp. load.


...finishing the oats now, leg workout to follow in a bit

Well, we're supposed to be going out to dinner tonight to an Italian Buffet style restaurant. :RADAR: Stick with the meat & avoid the pasta. We'll see how long that works :rolleyes:

slaughter, not to try to change anything around for you, just as a thought... I can't see you wanting to lose ANY blood from the cirulatory system during a workout, but when drinking whey during a workout blood will be sent to the gut to aid in digestion of the protein. I can see trying certain free form aminos in light carb drinks and water for a slight edge, but the protein isn't benefical IMO.

I hear ya. I don't believe in that "magic window" of opportunity that your muscles some how suck it up and grow immediatly... muscle glycogen restores over a period of time. I've never had a bad workout because of my "DWOS" (during workout shake).

I appreciate it though :)

It's just overal calories for the day for me, I never try to spike insulin either.
 
well, Im not speaking of the magic window. Its fact that blood is sent to the gut to aid in digestion. Blood is also crucial during workouts, that's all I'm saying, that you may be drawing blood away from where its needed during your workout. But to each their own, how is your injury?

Ok... yeah, I know bro, blood is needed for digestion.

Let me just say this... my "diet" is NEVER the same day to day... and had I not had what I had today... i would have passed out on the gym floor.

I appreciate your concern.

Injury is getting better... check my log for updates about that :)

2 big fish w/cheese, 1 cheesberger, fries, and large shake from B.K.
hit the spot . friggen full . fries i didn t finish . they where soaked.

Seeing how people eat, should be interesting, that's all I wanted this to be, post up food... that's it, you want to say "OMG you ate all that?!" send it in a K message.

Details on last nights Buffet. OMG. An obscene amount of protein, mostly different types of chicken, some beef, a bit of fish, quite a bit of fat, very few carbs. I figured, if I'ma gonna be a pig, I'd be a healthy pig, LOL.
If I had to gues, I'd say 1,500 cals, about 40%P, 35%F, & 25%C. Add in a coupla light beers, some good time with friends, it was worth it.
I be an angel today :verygood:.
For brekkie I had 1 serving cheerios, >1cup skim milk, & 1 scoop Muscle Milk. Also 1 hardboiled egg & 1/2 cup low fat Cottage cheese Yuummmmm.

....3:00 p.m had smoked turkey/swiss/mayo/greep peppers. 12 inch sub , and a small tuna steak.from ingersons deli , and 2 baked potato s' n sour cream. took me a while to finish. sub was packed .

Didn't keep track really, but I'd guess about 40 pieces of sushi (mostly tuna and salmon). Tried some eel for the first time too....had a little white rice also. I would have eaten more, but the waitress stopped bringing out a menu for me to order more, lol.
