Off paxil one week now!!!!!!

I did it! I finally stopped using paxil. nI decided last Monday that it was time. I have been on paxil for about 6 years to date. About 4-5 months ago I decided I didn't wanna have to rely on this damn drug all my life. I was at 40 mgs daily. I dropped to 20 mgs for about 2 months, then 10 , and finally five. It's been a week at 0 and I feel pretty good. I have some lightheadedness and feel disorientated sometimes since. I just wanted to let you all know how happy I am to be off that shit. Not a fun drug to quit. Avoid if possible.

Now I gotta see how my next cycle will affect anxiety. Never been "on" without paxil.

Good post, I have been at 30mg for a few months now and 20mgs for a couple of months before that. It has helped but not a ton. I plan to come off in the coming months and your experience is uplifting.

Congrats -- you should feel good about that! I had a hell of a time when I came off Effoxor -- headaches, dizziness, vision spots, all sorts of shit. GaryWary turned me onto inositol (a natural supplement) and it helped through the weaning phase.

That inositol shit is expensive. I used to work at a GNC and we had to keep that shit under lock and key. Cocaine dealers would steal it and use it for cut.lol
