Odd inj experience!

I loaded my pin as usual, poked, aspirated then inj. There was no blood during aspiration but as the last bit of gear went in and I released the plunger my pin backfilled with a small amount (1 or 2 drops) of blood! I'm assuming there is no reason to be alarmed since I inj about 5 minutes ago and feel fine. Any of you ever experience anything like this?

BTW - the inj as a whole was the cleanest I've ever done. There was no blood at all on the skin surface afterwards.

i believe you have blood everywhere in your body, no just yer veins.....

and yes, i've seen that before....you aren't convulsing yet are you?

On a positive note I have had the same problem but I wouldn't worry about it. I have hit a vein before and believe me you KNOW when you hit a vein - more than a few drops will come out.

right....thats why i was thinking he just found some blood floating around in the muscle....didn't sound like went thru vein if no blood came pouring out

Yeah, I've went through veins before and it made a friggin mess. I just thought it was odd that the pin back filled.

Happens to me atleast 3 out of 5 times I inject, no worries bro.

that happens to me all the time, dont worry about it bro- i think it happens when i push hard in the plunger too far and the back pressure shoots a couple drops in- especially when using a 25g when you are pressing hard for a couple minutes

That damn cough freaked me out the first time it happened. Then I got used to it . . . happens maybe 1 out of 5 times. I hate it and can feel it coming on . . .I am always like 'here we go again". The bad part is I get my shots in the office from my assistant (who used to be a nurse). Everyone in the office wonders why I am gagging to death in my office every couple of weeks . . .

I have had that same experience many, many, at least 100 times,

Don’t worry about it.

Can’t explain it, but when you aspirate, if you don’t see blood in the syringe your good to inject.

Regardless of how you got there.
