Occupy Boston

I'm having a great time at "Occupy Boston". I've volunteered so much time washing dishes at the food tent, that I can hardly bend at the waist. For some reason, I'm a magnet for heavy set black men and schizophrenic homeless people.

I've had some wonderful rap sessions with people from a broad political spectrum: socialists, social democrats, and anarchists, and nihilists.

I've got some great pics to show if anyone can tell me how to post them.

Why occupy Boston? I thought the object of the protest was to disrupt greedy big business, not disrupt southies eating corned beef and cabbage.

I've occupied the ladies restroom at work for a better part of the day. Even without proper media coverage, I feel I am making a difference.
 
I'm assuming most people posting here haven't been to an "Occupy..." area. The movement is much bigger than a bunch of unemployed people looking for handouts. You get people from a broad political spectrum. Occupy is an international movement uniting people and groups redressing grievances: Veterans For Peace, Marijuana activists, trade unions, various Anarchists, etc. are in Boston. I'll try uploading to tiny pics.

I do work. I work masonry, drive a bulldozer, and am liquidating a construction business that went bankrupt during the crash. There are forces at work that created this mess and perpetuate this mess.

Your pics kind of nullify your argument. Most of them look like they are homeless. The old man with the table looking for donations doesn't look like he's contributed anything to society since WW1.

I wasn't making an argument with the pics. What does somebody who contributes to society look like?

The old man was taking donations and selling a lot of literature at his table. I'll ask him what he does for work. The guy to the left in that pic is a software engineer.

We're all jerkoffs who also raged on the tea party movement?

It would be better if the occupy movement sat beside the tea party movement and they both had guns. Then the uber rich would bet on them like Thunderdome.

I wouldn't know. I barely contribute to EF, much less to society.

actually the teaparty is a representation of a much larger group of working class people.. the media did 13 stories on then the 1st year..

i think there has been 200+ stories done by the main stream media.. for these grass eating/smoking jobless white guys that live in their parents basements..

just making an observation

I think that you're not looking deep enough, but I understand the position. Generalization is how we get to where we are. :)
