Oatmeal

What do you guys eat with it? Im in college, in a dorm, so what i can have is quite limited. I tried cottage cheese, kill one taste with the other right? Didnt work. Anyway Im just looking for something to take away the bland taste, what do you guys think. BTW I apologize before hand, Im sure this has been covered many times in the past. thanks! :p

I like cinnamon + nutmeg + splenda + 1 tblsp flax meal + low carb milk or half N half (just a couple tblsp as I make it with water)

Or for a treat, chopped apple + splenda + chopped walnuts

Gotta have the splenda for the sweet taste

Splenda? Hmm, about how much does this cost?
I usually like doing some kinda fruit with it, getting both the oats and fruit outta the way early in the day, but its hard to have fruit in here since my roomates keep eating it =-0, and i dont have the money to continuously feed them. Good thing they dont know about the oats =-0 not that they would like the taste, or lack there of.
 
its cheap, cinnamon like jenscats said. honey too.im in college and am going through the same thing. good luck!
 
I like oatmeal with salt.

I put some protein powder in with the oatmeal.... either vanilla protein or plain tastes the best imo.
 
Splenda is a little expensive, but I stock up on it when it's on sale...... I figure it's worth the price since it's calorie free/sugar free.....and I need "sweet" in my oatmeal....

I go sans sweetness though. I used to use splenda, but I got lazy and now I just eat it with cinnamon, and a dash of salt, with a dash of 1% milk.

I'm usually too fuckin fuzzy in the head in the morning to care what the hell it tastes like anyway. I'm so out of it when I wake up I could eat ass and I wouldn't notice.

Nutmeg huh? Might try that Jens! I like cinnamon and nutmeg on my sweet pots!

I'd prolly eat it with skim milk and cinnamon, but since I'm on a constant bulk for now I like it with 2% milk, brown sugar and butter, now that's tasty!

lol nothin like bulking! Unfortunately I cant say Im doing the same thing so ill stay away from the 2%.
BTW your avatar gives me the fucking creeps. Id say it ranks about up there with the rabbit in donny darko :rolleyes:

i mix mine w/ roughly 4Tbsp/serv of sugar-free maple syrup.......I was using the real stuff before, but am tryin 2 cut down on the sugars
 
This might sound weird but this takes care of my chocolate and peanut butter cravings. I add chocolate protein powder to it and a 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. If you like chocolate oatmeal cookies you will love it.

I take a scoop of strawberry protein powder, Mixed Berry low-fat yogurt (or strawberry/banana), and 1/2 cup of non-cooked oatmeal, sometimes I unthaw some frozen fruit and add it in. Without the fruit it's (275 Calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 29.5 grams of protein, and 30.5 carbs) that's breakfast...
