O/t Hedonism 2 In Jamaica

I went to Hedonism II in late March - right after I tore my right distal biceps tendon. It was awesome - really the best overall vacation I ever had. I went my myself and had a blast. What do you want to know about it?
You will meet people CONSTANTLY from the minuite you arrive until the time you leave. I met tons of people, and we partied hard, almost constantly. Different people to party with every day, and then you run into the others you partied with days before and haven't seen since. Then you exchange stories and party somemore. The women were pretty hot on the prude side when I went. I spent the first three days on the nude side - all coked up and high on the Jamaican weed at the same time. Take some valiums or xanax to sleep - I wish I had.
Its a mellow, hard partying time - no one is an asshole there - everyone you walk by you say "hay mon"
Go to the Jacuzzi at night - that's where you may find some action - but its all timing and luck over there.

No, I only went off-site to get beer (they only have Red Stripe on the resort). I don't think they have gear in Jamaica - it's a poor country and living is simple. You'll see. Other sups are excellent: coke, weed, hash, extacy for cheap (you can barter them way down on price, remember all they want are American dollars and will give away almost anything to get them).
You will have a blast. The people who go by themselves seemed to enjoy it more than those who hung around their friends all the time, although everyone has fun. Go on the booze cruize for sure. You don't need to pack a lot of clothes - just possibly be preparred for toga party night and pajama party night (I just wore black silk boxers).

Lived there 2 yes- really different-many people there cannot read, always want to sell you 'white candy' as they call it, always wanting to braid your hair or give you a 'real Jamaican tour'- some of the ways they try hard to get American $$- when I moved there, American $ was 7 to 1, when I left, it was 35 to 1.
Ganja is the drug of choice- it grows everywhere & they smoke it at 9am- there's a rumor that there are no phone books in any public telephones because they smoked up all the pages. Don't let the men walking around with machettes on their head scare you- this is how they advertise they will cut grass, do lawnscaping, or catch fish for you.
Watch yourself when on the streets if you leave the resort & go to town or to the beach. It's a third world country & stealing is a way of life for them. Really fun people though- they love their reggae music-sometimes play loud on in the streets & everyone just starts dancing. 'No Problem, mon!' Many people visit there & stay at the resort- they do not experience 'real Jamaica'. Don't miss Dunn's River Falls or downtown at night. And remember, if you rent a car, they drive on the other side of the car & the other side of the road. And FAST!
