O Brother, Where Art Thou?

I really liked the movie. The Coen bros created a masterpiece. Funny as hell. I have watched it probably 5 times on Satellite, and everytime I see something new to laugh at.

If anyone has not seen it, go rent it...NOW!

where you been bro? haven't seen ya qround in awhile.

What's up, hombre? I was away from work at the main campus library (where I post from 99% of the time) for over 11 days while it was shut down for break. Right now I'm posting from one of the computers in the lab at my apartment complex, but they're occupied a lot of the time so I hardly use them.

It's good to be back though. :)

I've only seen it once- when it first came out on the big screen. I definitely need to see it again.

I saw it when it first came out on video, and haven't seen it since. I remeber that I really liked it. Loos like I know what to rent this weekend, since I have given up partying(at least for the time being).

It's based on "The Odyssey", by Homer. :)

Exactly, I saw a "making of" this movie. It was amazing to me that they got the dirty, dusty look that they did, and they did such a good job of portraying the thirties Mississippi. The film was shot all digitally, and edited for color, etc by computer, then transferred to film...

What I really thought was amazing is the idea itself, who would ever think of re-creating the Oddessy in that fashion? I guess I'm not an artist.

And that George Clooney can really sing, can't he? Seriously, Tim Blake Nelson (DelMar) did sing his own part, and at the end the song, "I'm in the jailhouse now" he actually did the Yodeling for the sound track..

Aren't you glad you asked??

Definitely an awesome movie! I would watch it again in a heartbeat. :)

Agree with you about Alison Krauss...I'm listening to her CD as I type this.

Damn, I love that soundtrack. Tracks 4, 5, and 7 are among my favorites. Track #4- damn, Allison Kraus has a sweet voice. :)

The movie was cool, too. :D

LMAO

i just found out I have to sing about a minute of Man Of Sorrow in my next play....written in 1955

+*YAWN*+

A more boring movie has yet to be made.

As a side note:
I can never tell Clooney and Richard Gere apart. I say they battle to the death, winner gets a ball peen hammer to the skull.
