Nude Beach

Ever been to one? What exactly is allowed/not allowed?

Going to one on Saturday, it's kind of strange... tucked away in the SouthWest corner is a town on Lake Michigan called Saugatuck (Hansel, where are you? Have you been there?). It's predominantly a gay town, but also has a nude private beach with literally a "gay" section and a "straight" section.

Is this common? I'm psyched to go... I don't care if I see guys getting on each other, I'm all about the love.

So again, my question actually is, have you been to a nude beach? Did you like it? Were you nude? Did you get freaky? And did you see other people getting freaky and how did you feel about it?

go topless with with a very small g string, that will be safe..

and watch for the 67 yr olds that keep walking by... take a friend, you don't want to be cut out of the crowd...

Europe and many other places in the world do NOT have the same hang-ups about nudity.

i have been to them before and the last thing I would want my daughter around is patrolling dirty old men flashing their cawks for all to "admire" from one end of the beach to the other. it's irresponsible to expose young, curious and impressionable daughters to this atmosphere.

We're a sex saturated society already and we rob children of their childhood by bombarding them with so many sexual images, triggering sexual impulses prematurely. This facilitates and encourages the promiscuous and self centered society we already are. The rate of family breakdown and individual isolation is huge. This is somewhat contributed by the hedonistic philosophy which is/has permeating our culture. Nude beaches tend to propagate this bottom line.

Would all of you judgemental types who are down on nudity, public or private, particularly around children, just knock it off, your American is showing. We, in America, have a fucking issue about sex and nudity. This is NOT how the rest of the world works. In fact, it's one of the reasons why the rest of the world thinks we're so fucked up. If you grow up in a household/environment/culture where nude does not automatically equate to naughty you have a much healthier perspective on it.

As for children being in some sort of moral danger or the subjective of any pedophile's attention because they are in a clothing optional situation. I'm sorry, there were just as many perverts around in days gone by as there are now. In this era of better communication we just hear about them more, that's it.

Actually, perverts would be likely to stay away from clothing optional situations, remember, hard-ons are considered utterly inappropriate.

But seriously, just because American culture has utterly fucked up a lot of people's heads in regards to the naked body and sex don't go judging parents who raise their children in a clothing optional household. Nudity is NOT immoral and thinking that it promotes perversion is just blaming innocent people for someone else's issues.

As I stated when w/my first post I have no interest in going to a nude beach/resort not because of who would see me, but because of who I would see. Whether there would be creeps/wierdos there is of no consequence to me as those sick sonsofbitches (both male and female, though they are more male) are amongst us everywhere - especially where we least expect it. They are teachers, priests, counselors, even "the normal looking electrician that comes to do your electrical work then goes home to do his daughter".... they are EVERYWHERE.

The best you can do is to educate your children about good and bad touch and how no matter what - no matter who threatens them with whatever that YOU will believe them, it wasn't their fault and pray that MAYBE the piece of shit that harmed your child will be jailed.... that is IF your child will be brave enough to admit it.

So you would feel comfortable exposing your daughters to these everyday "creeps" in a much more uninhibited atmosphere? i'm sorry but that's absolutely ludacris.

Only in America and by an American would this statement occur. In Europe people are not concerned about "triggering" impulses. Old men don't flash shit nor do old women. When everyone is on a beach or camp that is nude no sexual ANYTHING is perceived nor is it an issue. When you grow up in a healthy atmosphere where sex isn't "Dirty" as it is here and by reading your post I can see that is your viewpoint, the children grow to view sex as a gift and are far less promiscuous than their American counterparts.

i agree these people are everywhere, but you dont take your kid to church nude. they dont go to school nude. it kind of sounds like the argument that, oh its a picture of a nude child, but it is art. i thought it was actually illegal to expose yourself to a child, i would think the law would apply on a nude beach. i guess my opinion is skewed, i dont have kids so i guess that may skew my opinion i dont know

although I agree with these statements completely.. the issue is it's the same logic and same arguments that many organizations use to justify pedophile activities.. It's same arguments that "Sex after Eight too late" groups use to advance their causes..
