yesI've done some nutty things before a big lift. I've been slapped, smacked, punched on the back, and I've done the same to others.
If it cranks you up...do whatever it takes.
I've trained in gyms where most people are too afraid to step foot in. One of the last times I got to train with some buddies, it was a New Years Eve Sunday and the entire crew was AT the gym ready to squat before 8AM (one crew had already finished). I saw slaps, head butts on walls, blood, bruises, nose torque, and 900 lb squats by guys over 40. Then we benched and deadlifted. They normally run one crew at 7 AM and another at 8 AM on Saturday mornings...EVERY SINGLE Saturday morning.
If you don't know what cranks you up...you ain't been in that hole.
Can't believe they didn't have Kennely's wife smacking him before a big bench press...
Slapping doesnt really do anything for me. I need to just zone out and get pissed off and just get myself really angry then do the lift. So slapping and shit, no, yelling and firing me up, yes.
