Not In Ketosis Wtf!!!!!!!!help

:mad: I have been doing the CKD diet for two weeks but I just got the keto sticks this week and started dieting again on Monday after the carb up on suday, and used a keto sitkc tonight (Tuesday) and was normal with no ketones in my urin...what can I do I am pissed!!!!!!!!This is what I ate today maybe I need to cut some shit out!!!!!!!!
10-1 lifted and cardio on empty stomach

meal one 1:30pm....4 whole eggs and egg whites with chedder cheese..diet dr. pepper

Meal two...two serv of f.f. s.f. jello

Meal three....atkins bar.....diet pepsi

Meal four...one piece of beef jerkey

Meal five...one whole ondon broil with some mayo...crystal light

what is wrong...help guys
 
diet dr. pepper, s.f jellow, diet pepsi, crystal light.

Almost all of those have aspertame in them which kicks some people out of ketosis. seeing that you frequently use them i would cut those out and see what happens
 
See I knew they had aspratame in them but I didn't think that it would affect it since it says 0 fucking carbs which means no real sugar but I guess that's what must be doing it thats what I thought.............
 
Atkins bars are NOT zero carbs and DO keep you out of ketosis despite what the label says. Glycerin (sp?) is not counted as a carb on the label but in reality provides enough glucose to keep some out of ketosis.

Interesting post, same thing has happened to me, tested my urine today and it was normal,

Must be the diet soda and carbolite bars?

all those are keeping you out of ketosis and adding carbs (hidden carbs)

revised plan:

meal one: 3 whole eggs 1 tbsp. flaxseed oil
2: 6oz. ground beef 1 tbsp. peanut oil
3: 1 tbsp. olive oil w/ 30g protein (protein shake)
4: 6oz. chicken breast fried (w/ skin)
5: london broil (6oz.)

Fuck this your all right Mr. X when you said that. those things only keep some people out of ketosis I thought there's no way I can be one of them but I was wrong....No more playing around tomorrow is a new day a NEW DAY WITH NO FAKE SUGARS IE. diet soda, jello etc....I've had enough time to be a fucking man and do this shit...thanks all you all put me in my place and got my adrenaline going NOW IM PISSED WATCH OUT CKD......HERE I FUCKING COME:mad: :mad:
 
i agree with the others that your diet isn't ideal for ketosis... especially a cyclical keto diet where your body is having to clear out large quantities of glycogen after every carb up. the main reason i've never tried cyclical keto diets is that it usually takes me 3-4 days to get into ketosis anyway. if you are like me, then you are BARELY getting into ketosis around thursday before carbing right back up again on the weekend. when doing a ckd like this, it because even more important to eliminate "hidden" or residual carbs.

another suggestion is that you may want to try using small doses of insulin on monday to help pull the weekend glucose. i experimented with this, using 2-3 units of insulin without taking in any carbs. i was able to drop into ketosis much faster. if you're not experienced with insulin, this might not be the best idea. maybe try ala.

I have been doin CKD for a week, im skipping my first carb up b/c i wana loose fast(goin to Jamaica).

Last night i had a carb attack like you wouldnt beleive, it was supposed to be my carb day so i didnt feel so bad. I took 2g of ala b4 i ate. I ate 3 sleeves of Honey Grahm crackers w/ some natural peanut butter......Still showing ketones later on that night. I just checked and it showed negative but i never show in the morning for some reason...I just took another 1.5g of ala and back on the diet.

ALA has kept me in ketosis even after eating, pasta, pizza and rice in the past.
Im 276 so i need a high dose
 
when your doing a keto diet never eat carbo lite protein bars or any other protein bar. they claim to be low in carbs but they all contain glycerine which is a carbohydrate but for some reason the fda doesnt require companies to list it as one. and glycerine can definetly knock you out of ketosis.

this is really disturbing. I was looking for low carb bars on netrition and there are some from labrada which list 2g of carbs per bar but there are 90 calories or so missing from the tally. In reality, there are close to 20g of carbs in this bar and therefore one single bar would kick you out of ketosis.

on the other side, the aspartame does not affect me. i drink 2-3 liters of diet coke a day but i ve been in deep ketosis for the last 4 days now. At least the keto stix say that i am.
 
Today I am trying to kick all the "fake" sugars out of my diet and see if that puts me into ketosis..I ordered two bottles of ALA they aer 250mg and 120 caps in a bottle...So before I carb up on Sat-Sun how should I take them..Should I take them on my diet days also.....Well this is what my diet and lifting looks like...

Monday..Chest, abs
Tuesday..Back, cardio
Wednesday..Legs, abs
Thursday..Cardio, abs
Friday..Shoulders, cardio
Sat..bi's, tri's, abs
Sun..Cardio, abs

Today I went to the gym at 9am...and I usually don't eat before I go I take my eca, multi-vitamin, fish oil, and BCAA....is fish oil ok or should I get a flax oil do they do the same...I'm not familiar with flaxseed oil...

Today I ate....:p
Meal one..some cheese like three one inch cubes that was after I lifted

Meal two..6 eggs with two tbsp mayo..(egg salad)..and some taylor ham

that's all I've have and only drinking water now...What else can I drink besides water and drinks......I HATE JSUT DRINKING WATER ALL DAY....any ideas....how does all this look??????:confused:

I tried it years ago, way before ALA was mainstream. Seemed like my restults were not nearly as good and, in fact, I didn't get back into ketosis until I got up to 5g (which is a lot)....if after a carb up, slin seems to work much better. (and cheaper)

Yeah I heard good shit about that but isn't that a very risking thing to take....You are talking about regular injectable insulin right????????
 
yes, it's highly risky....
I don't recommend it to anyone who has low IQ and cannot pay attention to directions for more then 5 min....because learning to use it is the key to using it correctly...otherwise, YOU DIE!!!
