not an abscess, but what??

have been doing eq/test and I have felt the prop(in my 5th week). Did a mixed shot on fri. of 3cc's in the quad and my leg is killing me. The sight is not pink or hot, and I am not running a fever. But the sight is killing me and it hurts just to bend the leg or walk on it. Just the prop??

It happens sometimes. My first quad injection I could not walk. Take some Aleve, if you are really worried then go to a doc but I dont think thats necassary.

So just 3 days...the pain should start decreasing soon, if it doesn't in the next day or two then you should probably go to a doctor. I am not a doctor so I could be wrong, but I am just going off of my experience.

hmmmm, not worried, more annoyed. I am just a little perplexed that it seems to have gotten tighter at the sight day by day. It may be that I tore a little more muscle than usual or popped a blood vessel(but there is no real bruising either??), so I'm going to give it a few days.

If you are in that much pain, then you are in danger of getting scar tissue from all the BA. Once you get enough, it’s all over....... No more injecting there. Find something to dilute it with, please. Scar tissue promotes sterile abscesses bigtime! I think I’m done inj in my ass possibly permanently, and I know someone that has it (scar tissue) in his shoulders, bi's, calves, quads, and ass. He has to go to the doct and get shots in his lats. Other than that it’s all orals.
For all you newbees, please listen to this and stay away from anything that’s not human grade. Do a search and listen to what some of the more knowledgeable MODS have to say. This is one thing I really wish I could go back and change.

What is a sterile abscess??

he's right about the sterile abcess...a sterile abcess is essentially a walled-off collection of fluid, either that you injected or your body produced. A typical abcess develops when bacteria and inflammatory tissue/products develop and form a walled-off cavity, with a fibrotic tissue around it. The inside is full of pus. it can grow and grow and grow, and the only treatment is to cut it open and drain it. A sterile abcess is that walled-off fibrotic capsule of fluid that is essenitially sterile, that is the nidus was not an infection per se, but inflammation from the injection and the fluid that was injected. It can cause pain, and also scar tissue in the muscle....long term it may not be a big deal if it is taken care of, but it can be relatively disabling pain-wise and if enough scar tissue forms (which takes longer than just a few days) sure it could make you prone to muscle strains, pains, aches.

oh, and for you in particular, if it is still hurting and getting worse, not better, and it has been say three to four days...go to the doctor and tell him/her what you did....they won't care, but they need to know in order to evaluate you correctly.

Thank you for your help, it is very appreciated. I used the search button and went through some old posts on this. It seems to be getting better, and I have concluded from these old posts I may have just gone too fast(I was rushed, I know stooopid!). I did 3cc's in about 2-3 min.

Don't worry. I've never heard of anyone getting an infection. I've had some pretty bad lumps and soreness. Sometimes you just hit something that makes it hurt. I never worry anymore it will go away in a week or less.

That happened to me before and it lasted 2.5 weeks. Thats what happens sometimes when you stick needles in your fuckin ass.
