Not true. The Taepo Dong 2 has a max range of 9300 miles (if it works). North Korea is 4800 miles from Cali so they could get 4500 miles inland. They could pretty much bomb any metropolis they wanted to.

They would probably target Chicago, NYC, Indianapolis, LA, Dallas, etc.

i never said it was a flawless system. by using your logic, i guess the wright brothers should never have wasted their time on airplanes, since it only went a couple hundred feet. i guess people shouldnt try to do anything, since they might fail.

The 2001 U.S. government report said a three-stage Taepo Dong could deliver a several-hundred-pound payload from North Korea to targets about 9,300 miles distant -- sufficient to strike all of North America.

The 3 stage Taepo Dong 2 missile, if it works, will have a range to pretty much anywhere in the US. Their 2 stage missile taepo dong 2 can only hit Alaska and maybe the west coast.

I think the one you are referring to was a 3 stage taepo dong, but they've had 4 years to rework it.

So, from what i know, North Korea has the technology to hit anywhere in the US, but it hasn't tested the 3 stage missile.

Can Russia and China determine that these missiles are not aimed at them and conclude that there is no reason for them to fire missiles ,too?
