I tend to agree with her on this one; not because I'm her slave and she'll beat me if I don't but because it actually makes sense.

I think everyone has a slightly different interpretation of what "normal" is, most noticeably from society to society, or culture to culture, etc.

There a far too many variables to discuss here regarding the word "normal", but to answer in general: yes normal can be boring, and being put together will probably get boring after a while too.
