I am new to this myself, but far from a child. I am 33 years old and ready to change my life.

I joined Elite to learn from experienced people instead of reading bogus info from unreliable and careless people online. I ask you to help me learn. I don't dive into shallow water, so I will not dive into this without knowing fully what I am doing.

I am trying to learn about proper diets, work out plan, calories that are right for me etc. here is me:

6'
220 Well proportioned (small gut)
Male
fat% High

I am looking to stay around the 200 range, but looking to increase my size (ripped) and of course burn fat while being cut. If anyone can point me in the right direction, maybe to learn a little more (I know I don’t know the lingo) I would greatly appreciate it. I am here for information so that I can make the Best possible decision for me.

Any help is appreciated.

the diet forum - first stop. get your current diet laid out meal by meal with times of day, cals broken out, protein grams, fat grams, carb grams and copy and paste the info you posted above about yourself along with the diet in a new thread.

read all the stickies at the top of here and any new forum you enter. lots of good stuff there.

we will lead you in the right direction.

after diet - next stop training forum post similar info about training. but only after you do alot of research in the diet forum and get your personal diet squared away.

Couldn't have said it better.... definitely lower your body fat first, get more cut, and THEN consider if you still want to put on more (muscle mass)... it's diffcult to do both at the same time.... once you cut-up, your muscles will POP more, giving the illusion of more musculature
