What non-profit organisations do you dontate to or volunteer for?

Do any of you work for non-profit organisations now or in the past?

Which non-profit organisations would you recommend for their great work?

I generally favour the military ones; Erskine, Help for heroes, RBL etc. They are all great NPOs that try to help ex-service personnel.

I mainly donate to autistic studies, the causes are unknown and I feel for the parents that have autistic kids.

The Old Grump and I support various biker-related charities. There are too many to list: diabetes, school clothing or toys for underpriviliged children, money for someone's dying spouse who does not have health insurance, help for abused children, are just a few. We attend events sponsored by the various organizations and are as generous as we can be.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy Society and The Animal Rescue Network.
I don't donate to charities that relate to my illnesses

Given my kids are young and some of my nephews have some birth defects, I tend to support the ones for children only.

I also support "Poutine...it's what's for dinner". It's a great way to feed the poor...or the Quebecers.
