Why don't you just pay what you owe for the ticket/warrant? Current problem solved and future problems curtailed. There is a chance that they will ID you when you cross back into the states. Typically, they just check your ID for citizenship purposes. However, due to recent events I would expect tougher security. If they do run your ID and find an outstanding warrant they may take the opportunity to search you very thoroughly. I'm unclear as to whether they have the authority to hold you on a warrant from New Mexico, but as they are federal they may have some authority. Nonetheless, if they find the warrant they will surely harass you, even if they can't hold you.
