11 teams in history have met in back-to-back finals. 7 of the teams that won the first year, won the second.
The last team to do it was Edmonton. They lost first year and won second.
Pittsburgh is the new Oilers.

Just think how much better the Penguins will be next year (after they lose in the Finals this year) when they trade Jordan Stall for a winger who can actually score

All that offensive talent on both teams and all 4 goals were of the blue collar, get your nose dirty variety...

I thought Osgood had a good game, especially during that stretch in the 2nd period, and he let up very few rebounds...

I also like the effort by the Wings' 4th line, especially uhhh, Alligator on his goal...

Not much to choose from in the first two games. A couple of lucky bounces and it could be Pittsburgh up 2-0.
Wings just keep winning. It's not over yet.

Pens coming back at home tonight.
Only team to come back and win after being down 2-0 were Montreal in early 70's.

Pittsburgh's gotta score first. Wings seem impossible to come back on when you're down a couple of goals. Having the last change will help.
 
Detroit will win the cup but winning a game 3 is so hard...if anyone can do it Detroit can but i would say Pitts this game.

Zetterberg's doing a great job on Crosby. It must be the beard.

Good thing Datsyuk's coming back cuz cuz the old guys are looking a little tired at times.

That's all i've been hearing from Wings fans.m Granted the no call on too many men in game 3 was bad but there have been a lot of non calls on both sides. Extra man for 25 secs didn't change anything.

Pens were just plain better last night.

Should be a good one in Detroit tomorrow. I know things are tough in Detroit but what's with some empty seats? "Hockey town's" been spoiled.

Last game of the year tonight? Wings should be well rested with extra day off.

Lidstrom handing the cup off to Hossa in Pittsburgh will be hard to digest for Pens fans.

I'm still pulling for Pens to give us a game 7.

Bettors here are for the most part Wings fans, so with a better return it's highly unlikely they're going to take Pens (excl wootooom).
Blow out of Pitt in game 5.
Datsyuk looks like he hasn't missed a beat after being out all those games.
Amost as much a must win for Detroit, they don't want it to go to 7 where u "never know".

Osgood with another cup will probably get into hall of fame one day but he's not the best player on these Detroit teams.

Osgood was the backup to Mike Vernon in '97 and started in '98, right?

Won it last year..

Was he Hasek's backup the year they beat Carolina?
 
A couple of us called Pitt in 7 with more than a little wishful thinking.

Could Wings let the cup slip through their fingers?

Game 7 tomorrow....we'll see. I'm just hoping for a great game and not a blowout.

There is no tomorrow.
Game 7 of the finals...only one team has ever come back to win cup in opponents building after being 2 games to none.
Potential for legacies to be made and others will be forgotten in a few yrs.
