I understand that. Because I initially was like, whoah. We can't spank our kids now? Then, I saw the photos. It's conflicting, because we want to keep our freedom to raise our kids as we see fit. So I had the same reaction but then I felt like a hypocrite. If a woman had those marks on her we'd know for sure it was abuse. It would be against the law for me to leave marks on another adult like that. It would be assault. Kids can't pick who their parents are, and do not have the freedom to leave. Plus, kids that age are so much smaller than we are.

I dont know about your state but Florida allows physical discipline as long as you dont leave marks. Which makes sense. A hand slap with a verbal instruction "don't touch that". A spanking. A light smack in the head/lips if they curse/sass you. A belt to the butta couple of times None of those should leave a mark

No one "allows" me to discipline my children and that type of stuff you listed didn't deter me at all once I was about 7. When the state of FL or any other state starts raising young boys into decent men, they can tell me how to raise mine.
