I guess I earned my dues. but do I wish I had started sooner, hell ya, all the time.
Oh, for crying out loud.
Does a steel-framed skyscraper
earn a solid foundation?
Does a suspension bridge
earn pilings that have been driven down into bedrock?
They need these things, and if you build without them, they will fall down.
YOU need the solid foundation that comes with hard training on top of PHYSICAL MATURITY.
When you say you "wish you had started earlier" it sounds like you're dreaming that the old-timers here are telling kids to wait because they envy you and want to hold you back. I don't mean to put words in your mouth, but it's time to put a stop to that Luke Skywalker bullshit.
If you had started sooner, without a solid foundation of training and waiting for your natural growth to complete, experience says you would have just fucked yourself up, pardon my French. When we say start at 24 or later,
that means 24 or later.
The newbies still keep coming back and whining that they think they know better, but the answer doesn't change.
