Newbie injection injury

Anyone's $0.02 is appreciated here.

Yesterday I took a CC of EQ-200 in my left deltoid (middle head) and messed it up pretty bad. Syringe was a 23g 1-incher. Apparently I went all the way through the muscle and hit close to the bone, which is probably where the depot is sitting right now. Granted this is speculation, but I now have a HUGE knot in my shoulder, and it hurts to do much of anything with it.

If anyone has encountered this before, I would feel a lot better for my [more or less] mistake. Moreover, is it even possible to have injected close to the bone, or would the nerves keep me from getting that close? Is there any cause for alarm here, or will the injury simply heal itself?

Lots of ??s. Just need some reassurance and/or feedback. I've always had success with my injections, so please no one flame me for this simple mistake.

FYI, I'm 5'10", 190, 40 years old, six years of lifting experience. 10% BF, estimate.

First off I would find it hard for you to go entirely through the muscle unless you hit the delt way too high which I am going to venture a guess that you did not. I myself have gotten knots in the delt B4 and a heating pad helps to disipate the oil along with massaging it. After every inject you should always massage for a few minutes anyway to try and pread out the oil. MY .02

just remember to push the needle in sllooooowwwwly and and inject slow as well. No need to hurry. Just like mikebzt said, massage the site and maybe put a heating pad on there. Eq-200 isn't really painfull at all, but once your muscles get use to it, you shouldn't feel any pain anymore. Also, the knot should dissipate within a few dayz. If you're whole arm gets red and swollen, then there is cause for alarm. Also, take some ibuprofen/tylenol for the swelling - should help it out.

I won't repeat what everyone else said but they are right. I wouldn't know about hitting close to the bone as I don't do shoulder injections but also hop in the shower and get the water as hot as you can stand it and let it spray on the site while you rub the shit out of it.
A few years back I can still remember my first shot of Ttokkyo Cyp., my right ass cheek swelled up so bad it looked like someone surgically implanted a 16 inch softball in my ass. Ahhhhhhhhh, yes, those were the days.

If the plunger is hard to push down with a 23 gage next tiem do not shoot in that spot. My doctor always shoots me with 25g , and if it is hard to push down we find another (correct spot). You might of shot into fat too that creates lumps. Or you might have shitty or dirty medication.
