Hi! I have been observing this forum for quiet some time now and finally decided to join. All you guys have put out some good sound advice that I have taken and went from 135lbs 120% bf
to 125lbs 17% bf. I wasn't big to begin with but I did want some more muscle definition. The only muscles that I had were in my legs which I was losing slowly. But not any more.

Spatterson in reply to your question, I have not reached my goal yet but I am not far. My goal is 16% bf and the lbs don't matter. But I do think that I will continue to set new goals for my self. I have come to terms with the fact that I will let my body grow to its fullest potential naturally. I now know that I will not grow to be huge. I really like the athletic look with added muscle. I see a woman with muscle as a strong confident being. I get the looks now at the gym when I go for the extra plates and not the pink dumbells and I laugh. :p Some women just don't get it do they. :confused: I have lost more fat by adding extra pounds on the bar and building muscle that by cardio alone in these last 4-months. I am loving my new look I would just like to add more muscle to my upper body. My legs are probably my best feature as of now. So work work work is what I will do. I do have a question. Every woman wants wash board abs, I have a flat midsection and I can feel the muscle is there and sometime see it a little espically when working abs. Do you think that the muscle is maybee too small? I have added some weight resistance not much but some. Will this hurt or help?

Welcome aboard, CD. Just guessing from your name...are you Chinese? I'm Japanese (American) and it would be nice to have someone of a similar body type to compare notes with from time to time...

I'm a newbie here and am curious about your training. What kind of split did you do? And how much cardio did you do?
I'm always looking for advice.
 
wannaBB, I do a 4-day split it goes like this

Day 1
Chest and Back
Day 2
Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps
Day 3
Legs
Day 4
Abs

after day one I take one day off and then repeat.

I do cardio for 30min 5-6 day a week, the only day I sometimes skip is leg day. Only because I can barely walk when I leave the Gym.

That's blasphemy! It's my favorite. I love being so sore it hurts to use the :toilet: for at least 5 days. If it's less than that, I'm disappointed. But then I'm someone who actually loves the taste of protein shakes :D
 
I must have been misunderstood. I sometimes can't do cardio on leg day. I also looooove leg day. Some times when I leave the gym I can barely walk much less run or bike. I neeeever miss leg day sometimes I wish I could recover faster to do it more. :D
