New Tillman documentary.......

I still remember Simeon Rice being on Rome and he was saying Tillman wasn't that good anyway, so no big deal if he left to serve. That was before Tillman was killed. If I was him I'd feel like the biggest douche.

major douche, even if he hadn't been killed. he could have been a journeyman nfl player making good money, but he gave it up to serve his country.

How he died had many q's unanswered and military coverups - this is well documented everywhere you go. This, Somalia and that Vietnamese massacre are some of the big black marks in the us military. As always, no one ever goes to jail - 'shit happens'. Welcome to being a slave of the govt.

I always thought they blew out of proportion Rice's statement. If I recall correctly he said he deeply respected anybody's decision to go into the service, but thought it was being disingenuine to characterize Tillman as a top level athlete in the NFL. But any kind of perceived disparaging remark towards a guy like Tillman was going to get pounced on no matter what....he should have kept his mouth shut.

I wonder what the big fucking coverup here is? I mean haven't they already admitted that he got nailed by another group of rangers? What more could they possibly be hiding?

One of my good buds who served in Iraq for a couple tours told me the friendly fire shit happens way more often than you would ever think.

His squad got fired on a couple times. He said they usually figured out it was friendly based on the noise/pace of the weapons being fired.

They recognized U.S. equipment then shot up a certain colored flare to let the others guys know to knock it the fuck off.

Very sad when a soldier is killed by his own team. That type of stuff just should NOT be happening.

I asked my bud how that shit happened so often. His response: "There's a lot of fucking dumbasses in the military"

He was shot 3-4 times in the head, and it appears that it was from relatively close range. Like very close.

ooooooo, shit didn't know that. Homeslice was executed then huh? Wow, you wouldn't think a guy like that would make many enemies in his own unit. Maybe he saw something he wasn't supposed to and was gonna whistle it?

simeon rice is a douche...

Well some people in the army, or in life, will fight for their country but when faced with orders that they feel maybe certain death they may tend to think if they kill the order giver they don't have to die themselves. The old better him than me philosophy.
