I know who would of thought sand and rotating part don't mix. When I was in SOI we had kids poring CLP on their bolts and getting sand in it and wondering why it was jamming lol pure genius at work.

True but if they would just think first they could avoid crap like this. If I'm building a camera for a marine biologist I'd damn sure make sure that it was water proof ya know.

With Military especially Marines, if it's easy or makes sense we don't want anything to do with it. If chewbacca is a Wookie then you must acquit!

Osprey was developed during the Cold war and after Jungle fighting bro.
They weren't thinking ahead. Back then we were giving weapons to the sand filled places.

Cold war? Way off dude by about 35 years or so. The introduction of the osprey was in the 80's during the Iran conflict.

,Iraq invading Kuwait was 90's (Desert Storm) <--Our first venture into that area when we figured out our equipment wasn't sand friendly

We were rolling down for Nam when it was being devloped. NOT planning to get into ground games during Iran Iraq war.

The US Joint-service Vertical take-off/landing Experimental aircraft program didn't start until 1981. The Marines didn't apply it to combat until 2007.
