my friend was browing the net the other night and came accross an article at bodybuilding.com i think it was that said something about a new bench record.

but of course he didnt read it and now he cant find it.

did someone break 900 or what?

just wondering, with PL numbers, is the bar counted in the lift? or just the weights stacked on?

i assume its all totalled but wasnt sure?

I would think it the bar and the weights.

I think they use different weights at the meets. Unless its all the same and the collars are added to make a certain weight?

Yes, the bar counts.

Some meets do use kilo plates.
