Well this being my first post let me introduce myself. Im 23 and need help gaining mass. ive always been small and the most I have ever weighed was 166 at 5'11". I am just looking for 20-40 lbs over 6mos. I have never done any cycles and was interested in finding if anyone had some good advice. my eating habits are good and i understand that eating makes you bigger(so please dont respond with eat more or eat healthier). i have the metabolism of a humming bird and was looking more towards alternative means. i appreciate any help you have to offer. thanks

How long have you been training ? Post up your diet on a typical day so we can have a look and go from there.

At 23, you still have a long way to go naturally. Start EATING - food is the most anabolic thing out there...

well im sure i dont eat as much as you big boys but today i had

breakfast- 3 eggs sasauge toast and a bannana
lunch- chicken breast, corn, new potatoes, 2 rolls and a salad
dinner- 2 pork chops and 2 baked potatoes mixed veggies
about 2 hours ago snack- meatball sandwhich

keep in mind my stomach is only so big and it seems like i cant eat enough to grow without my metabolism burning it off. let me know what you think or any changes you suggest

having a high metabolism will be your greatest asset when you age. Because eventually when you are around 30+ it will slow down and you'll be glad you have a higher Metabolism. As for eating: Eat lots and lots of meals with high protein and moderate complex carbs at every seating. Add some bulk shakes to the menu and get in at least 7 meals/day. Eat every 2.5 to 3 hrs. Each meal should be over 30 grams of protien. Hit the gym with heavy weights low reps. You will grow.

I agree with Mr.X! You can still gain plenty of weight naturally before having to turn to AAS! Though, 20-40lbs of MUSCLE in 6 months is not going to happen... if you gain that much in 6 months, I'm sure you'll be rolling down the street.

You definitely need to eat MORE - in between your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, have a protein shake... throw in some oatmeal or peanut butter in your shakes for extra calories... make sure you have a good post-workout shake (protein + maltodextrin or dextrose works well).....especially eat something before bed (protein shake with peanut butter or cottage cheese are good choices)....you should have 5-6 meals a day..... if you're training hard, you'll see results in no time!

I agree with the above posts.. I also have the metabilism of a humming bird and at 48 I am very happy I do..many men my age are overweight and do not get enough excercise.. I am 5ft8 at 164 lbs of lean muscle.. I eat 5-6 times a day, high protein and carbs.. drink those shakes especially before bedtiime.. train hard. low reps, high weights.. you will grow, it will take time be patient.. but the results will be worth it!!

I only weighed 150lbs at 5ft8 when I started lifting and so speaking from experience you need to eat more.My metabolism is still high and I"m in my mid 30"s. Don"t be scared to put on some fat because if you truely have a high metabolism it will melt off when you"re ready for it!!
