Neutrogena Micromist Tanning Sunless Spray

I might need to invest in some so I can look less pale for the cruise :)

I have several Mystic tans left, just sitting there. Not sure what to do as I will not be 'laying out'

I just got some Piz Buin tanning spray. To be honest I don't like the sprays cos I find the your hands get sticky rubbing the lotion into your skin then you can't work the pump properly without having to wash and dry your hands again. Anyway I am a natty fair, redhead with blue eyes so self-tan has been my saviour for most of my adult life!I have tried most brands and due to never being a high earner as well as having to use it constantly because my skin is so pale and doesn't really tan I generally stick to the cheaper brands unless like last Saturday I bump into a special offer.

The Piz Buin was reduced from £11.99 to £1.00 and was on a shelf right at the back of the shop.I snatched up the last two bottles.couldn't believe my luck.Anyway, I really like it.It doesn't smell at all, doesn't turn me orange and is not greasy or sticky.

Has anyone else tried the Piz Buin spray?I would definetly recommend it.

The neutrogena doens't need to be rubbed in -- just spray.

I dunno how well you can see this -- but compare the color I have now (First & last pics) vs. one of my last progress pix where I'm fish-belly white (middle 2 -- from 2 weeks ago). This is after 1 layer and a touchup.

I think I must get some of this... does it come off in the shower? or run if you sweat?

The 1st pic has a black thing in the way... move it please

hahahahah

LOL. Thx ;)

I sprayed it on after my shower after I got home from the gym. Let it dry for 4-5 min (until your skin isn't moist anymore) and then put on some long sleeves & sweats just in case. Sleep in it & take a shower the next morning. I don't see anything on the walls where I spray it on or any streaks in the shower (I spray it on in the shower) and no smudges on my clothes or the bed. Pretty much once it's dry, you are good to go. I also don't see anythign run in the shower the next day. Once you spray it on the color starts showing up more a few hrs later. The bottle says it will go 2 shades darker than your own skin. I"m pretty pale so I'm happy w/ the quickie results!

Thanks Sass... I need a fix before my Cruise (16 days left) and want to look tan so I can lather on the SPF :) Hopefully not burn too much :worried:

It does get a little thick around the joints (wrists, ankles) and for your face, just spray some in your hands & rub on your face. And check after you take the morning shower for "racing stripes" You'll want to touch up then.

Cruise....!

Yep, that's also what they tell you to do before you go into the Mystic Tan booth.
I have like 15 tans left in the mystic...

I purposely don't put on the booties and ask my BF to rub my feet lol

Sassy, did you spray it every day or how did you use it? Thinkin about getting some but haven't used self-tanners for many years. How long did you wait to apply the spray after you moisturized? How many layers did you put on initially, one or two? Any tips on doing it right too. Thanks!

It is really easy to spray - no real "techniques" to it. It sprays light and over a wide area. It is EASY to apply all over - even your back. It sprays upside down! I sprayed 1 layer yesterday, got light color that I noticed this AM. I just put on another layer tonight. Should have nice basic color tomorrow AM.

I only moisturized my elows, feet and knees (my very dry areas). I did not moisturize anything else before applying.

It is about $10 - looks like you could get 3-4 layers out of that bottle. A little pricey if you count on it for your only tanning. To supplement a little outdoor color, it would be fantastic.

Daisy pretty much answered all the questions. All of those decent self tanners run around $10 but this stuff is just so easy to use. Its great for something like a special weekend or couple of days. As much as sun is hard on your skin, I don't think I'd rely on it for every day tanning. I still think its good to get outside & get some sun.

Me, I'll be in the tannign booth for the next 4 weeks for show stuff and I think I've got a guy who can airbrush my protan on. Damn technology is great!

And now I believe I"m off to go soak in the tub. Tonite was quads and for some reason my freakin hips ache.

Gnite all you little gym rats!

Thanks Daisy and Sassy for responding quickly. I just bought Jergins Natural Glow and used it once and this morning i do have a little bit of a "glow" yet subtle. I will get this neutrogena product soon though and try both i guess??? Wondered if i can use both together? I always thought you had to moisturize first before applying a self-tanner but Daisy you said you didn't but i wonder if i can use this natural glow stuff i just bought along w/ it? Oh, and Sassy, i love your legs, they're gorgeous!!! How did you build your wheels, program, etc? Love the size, annie.

I bet you can use both. I want the Jergens stuff - I tried to find it this weekend, but couldn't (granted, I only looked one place, lol).

Thx! Build the wheels w/ lots of heavy leg work - squats, sissy squats, lunges, weighted step-ups, walking lunges, etc etc etc. :)

I tried this stuff last nite & love it! I'll be putting a couple layers on over the course of the week & will update how it works. But it covers easily, requires no rub-in, doesn't run, dries quickly, doesn't smell, etc.

I just bought some and I'm so excited to try it. it's the time of year when everyone around me starts tanning and I start glowing. NOT THIS YEAR! Grrrrrrrrrr! :D Thanks for the tip.

Does anybody know of a good self-tanner for the face that's otc and works very good? I can't use the jergens natural glow on my face, i need something designed just for the face, something that won't clog pores, comediogenic ya know. Has anybody used a product that they really liked that didn't turn your face orangy or streaky?
thanks!
