So I got my place hooked up with wireless shiternet yesterday so I can play my new GTA IV online...which is oodles of fun.

However, there appears to be something wrong with my connection that causes this problem:

So, my question is...how the fuck do I access my new wireless router so I can change my NAT type?

192.168.1.1 type that in address bar, when asked for your password user id leave user blank and type in admin for password...that will bring up your options if you had not changed your password already

GTA IV online is probably the funniest game in the history of the universe.

Nothing beats jacking an ambulance and running people over with the siren on as they try to shoot at you with an UZI. When the fire those rocket launchers, though...its a bitch.

im not sure how to change it..i would open it up and start viewing all the options in the settings area to find it. may be simple option to check..i am not positive..ill try and get on mine now and look

Ya I browsed through all the areas and didnt really see a simple option.

Im wondering if it would make a difference if I turned off the router firewall? I still have my comp firewall on, obviously...again, this is just for the sake of my PS3.

i looked thru everything and couldnt see a way to do it on mine..i would set your router up secured so people arent useing it..anyone can log on useign the admin password and change your settings etc...use all your speeds

I would try setting the game computer's IP address into the 'DMZ' setting.

the cellphone you have there is multiplqyer option

call tech support they will help you confiugrue it..there pretty hlepful then just sent me a new router last week cause mine took a shit even though it was 2 years old...

Ever since I got this, my COD4 on the PC hasnt been able to connect to games...which pisses me off. Wonder why that is.

maybe fighting over connection useign same ip?id tell them about that and they will confgure it for ya...routers are horrible...everytime i get something i need to add makes me want to kill myself lmfao

what dial tone mentioned..........putting your ps3 in a DMZ (demilitarized zone)

This allows all ports to be forwarded correctly. I had to do this with COD4. This changed my NAT from type 3 to the correct type 2.
