Actually its closer to 11 weeks till the show. I was tested at 9% bf today, so I still have a ways to go. Something with the lighting or the way I was standing makes everything on the one side appear bigger. In reality there is only 1/4" difference from right to left arm

I really need to learn to pose. BTW, I was totally cold in these pics, no pump

Cuttin down and looking great!!

Your waist is nice and trim. . .regardless of the heavy weights you shift around, your obliques are not blocky nor do you show any distention.

BTW, how do you feel in terms of energy and training? What is your current weight?

I suck at bringing my lats out in this pose

Thanks Louden. My waist has gotten bigger over the past 2 years, maybe 2" bigger, but I'm so small framed to begin with it still looks proportional. My energy is actually pretty good. Fyre from the female board is the one getting me ready, and her diet is great, lots of carbs so I feel good all the time. The best part is I've dropped 4% bf already with NO cardio so far.
I weighed in at 216lbs today, height is just under 5'9"

You look great NS, you have kept a lot of mass while dieting, are you going to get someone to help with your posing routine?

looking f*cking jacked man. diet is looking like a major key since the pics seem to show no size loss in muscluarity. Good luck and keep us posted

I really need to learn to pose.

pic #1: arch your back and lift your chest more, it will flare you lats wider. do this pose with both feet flat and bend your knees a bit with toes out ( will accentuate your quads )

pic #2: position your outside foot (bent leg) at the middle of your rear leg and squeeze your showing leg up against the rear leg (will push your hams out) also, sit down a bit and play with the depth you like and are able to squeeze your leg with. for a side chest, arch your back a bit and raise your chest up high! dont close up, almost like a one arm row on one side.

pic #3 practice, you'll get good at flaring your lats out more. it may help to keep the calf in a bit more so you can flex the hams. if the leg is out too far in the back, you will lose hams. squeeze your glute and "sit". squeezing your legs together helps a bit too.

pic#4: looks good. play with the shoulders for different looks. some like to rotate their hands a bit more back, what you dont want is for your hands to face forwards (from you). have someone watch you for bicep disparity, and if need be you can rotate your wrist a bit forward to make up for a gap in a bicep. rotating the wrist will give a fuller appearance or a balled up appearance to the biceps. toy with it.

hehe. you look good so far. at 11 weeks out you should have no problem getting down way early. you could even do a carb deplete/load a couple weeks out to see how you respond.

just some ideas.

:)

Thanks guys (I loved spatts response...), it does feel like things are starting to come together. Bignate, thanks for the tips. Fyre is also working on the routine and poses with me, she really knows her stuff, we just havent gotten that far yet.

Those that asked about the diet, heres a basic run down

Meal 1 - 5 jumbo egg whites and baked potato
Meal 2 - oatmeam and whey shake
train
Meal 3 - post W/O shake, 50grams dextrose, 40 grams whey
Meal 4 - 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, baked potato
Meal 5 - can of tuna, low fat yogurt (supposed to drop dairy though) and some rice cakes
Meal 6 - can of tuna, maybe a few more rice cakes
Meal 7 - whey shake with water

Thats the jist of it. I do little things like add salsa to the tuna to make it edible

I dont even know how many calories it is. I forgot to mention, there are also 6 table spoons of flax seed oil in there, which adds about 800 calories a day

for anyone who didnt see them, heres a few progress pics.

This was taken 6 weeks ago at 16 weeks out, the day I started the diet

This one at 12 weeks out.. Not bad for 6 weeks with absolutely no cardio yet

yup, there are small variations day to day, but its basically the same. The food is boring, but its also the most food I've ever eaten on a diet, and I've lost weight the quickest

You've got something to be proud of NS. Very good man, very good.

Thanks bro, but you know how it is, its never enough

Big difference beteen the first pics and now. Can`t wait for future pics. keep it up and good luck Very impressed with the difference and size maintained.

No, I'm not using the 5x5. I actually dropped it a little while ago as my joints were too sore, so following a program that really built up power didnt make sense. What I'm doing now is one heavy set for around 5 reps to failure, then I drop the weight and stay around 8 reps per set. I figure the one heavy set is enough to keep the fast twitch fibres happy, but its too hard to do any more heavy sets while following this strict of a diet. I've also cut my sets down, and have been doing a lot of "down the rack stuff". So I'll go to failure, pull a plate and go to failure again, pull another plate and do it again

looking freakin great man. i wish i could get my training back on track, but not having my own car for now isnt helping. once i get to around 240 im gonna cut down. im 225 right now and have had problems putting on muscle mass with my current schedule.

Looking great! I would switch the whey shake at your last meal to a more time release protein blend.

thats not a bad idea, or even something slower digesting like egg white protein

how tall are you?

I'm somewhere around 5'8.5", pretty small framed.

Check this out, a buddy from another board put these together for comparision, what a difference in under 6 weeks of dieting

I swear NS your arms look bigger after you started dieting! Perhaps it is because they are more defined, but I'll be damned if they don't look considerably bigger. Nice work bro, you gain size when you diet lol.

Wow that's amazing! What was your weight at 16 weeks and now at 11? (Sorry if you posted this b4 - I looked through the thread and didn't see both)

Looking great bro...better than I've ever seen you.

BTW...I've put off trying the 5x5 for too long now. All I hear is how great it works. Gonna start with leg day tomorrow.

Best of luck in the show sir. :)
