Needles going through the airport

Hey,

I'm going to Key West in June and that will be about week 8 for me. Now my question is, will I be able to take my needles with me? See my concern is this; I dont think that I would be able to carry them through the metal detectors (on person). So I was thinking about putting them in my bag that I check. My concern is do they metal dect the checked baggage? I just need some good opionions on how to get these to where I am going

First, most detectors are set at a certain "weight"
of metal, I spoke with a marshall while taking a
federal exam at a federal building and asked him
why my large belt buckle didn't set off the detector
that's how I know. I believe theirs was set to overlook
3 ounces.
Second, you are nuts to even risk it with all the pseudo
security BS going on at airports.
#1 solution:mail them to your hotel/ask them to hold
your packages until your arrival.
#2 solution:find MailboxesETC at your dest. on internet phonebook call them and UPS it to them to hold for small fee.
#3 solution(worst) procure bottle of b12 and memorize
BS story about self injecting for health reasons.

Is a script required in Florida for needles?
Find out and buy there. You may be able to
carry them onto the flight no problemo but
why risk it???

first off... dont ask the donkey's around here about needles on the plane.. if you aren't allowed and you try to do it because someone here said its cool.. you could go to jail.

I dont think there would be an issue if they were in checked baggage... again.. call the airlines...

If they say no.. You can always mail them to yourself where you are going.. call around for some mail box etc places..

Virgin is right but remember....The baggage checkers
do not work for the airlines! Any Guardsmen don't
work for the airlines(if they're still there). Just because
some corporate entity says its all right don't assume
that'll mean jack crap to some tightass checking your
bags. Anything could happen..Plan for the worst.

wtf is the big deal...of course they are not going to let you carry them on the plan with you. But if you have no gear on you, what is the problem? I would tell them when you got there that you have them...and they could prolly care less. To make it even easier..why dont you go to the local pharmacy and just buy some when you get there?

and have them shipped to ur hotel, its like $10 and they'll probably get down there b4 you...
