Hey Guys, just got home my first ever order from GPZ - 23 gauges 1½"..

FUCK.. i know i'm being a pussy but it's the first time seeing a pin up close and knowing this is the size ill be jabbing with... can't help but thinking its gonna hurt stabbing that f'ing chop stick in there...

Maybe the second or third time.. but first time i am going to be nervous as SHIT.

haven't started yet but primo 200mg/E3D (2 ml)..

Just unpacked the packaged i got them in.. opened one.. and looked at it.. stared. hah. :D

Yo, you have no idea how much thicker is 21" gauge or even 22" gauge and even they dont hurt if you jab quick and properly.

With 23"gauge i stab myself in the shoulder or the quads and trust me on one thing bro, i used to be more scared of needles than you. I couldnt even take a look at them while my boys were giving me my daily dose of AAS's. Now i cant wait to start jabbing myself.

Trust me, there isnt much to it.
 
Thanks Lenas! Hopefully ill get over it after the first time... if i dont accidently hit a vein, a nerve at the same time... blood squising and pain.. i think that would scare me even more! :D

Reading about all the gushing blood, jumping/spazming legs from hitting a nerve and abcesses(sp?).. got me kind of wound up! ;)

Have somebody else do you the first time. Just for you to get over your jitters. Dont worry bro, that aint nothing and when you see the results your injections wont even matter. Just think about the results bro and relax, dont be stiff when you poke yourself as you might break the needle. so RELAXXX...............and it will all be ok, trust me on that one
 
Thanks, ill try not to break the needle! :O lol! :D Dont think i can find anyone to do it for me, but ill try to keep a steady hand.. and not be so tense. Got a few weeks still until all my stuff gets here, so i wont start before that. Got some mind-preparing to do until that. :> Thanks again and K for ya. :)
 
23g is nothing, even 21g wasn't bad I just didn't like the hole it left, pain wise it shouldn't be that different as long as its sharp! Don't be like my buddy and use the same pin that you used for taking the stuff out of the multi-dose vial, it dulls the crap out of it. Also some guys recommend taking a shower first and warming up the muscle, but for me it hurts more when I do this, but maybe not for you. I had someone do an glute shot for me my first time. I usually just alternated from cheek to cheek every week because it was the easiest, as I got more comfortable using a pin on my own I found other spots.
 
Do the first one yourself bro! Its nerve racking, but its a right of passage. I still remember my first pop (only 5 years ago) like it was yesterday. I just kept tellin myself, if all these guys can do it, how bad can its be. Had the shakes like you would belive sitting in my basement in front of the computer. Jabbed the sucker in my upper outer quad (23g 1in 2ccsus 1ccdeca ) and it went in with no feeling do to my amped state. I was shaking so I had to just sit there with it in for a second and gather myself. Got it together and grab the plunger and applied pressure. I was surprised at the force it took to move the oil and due to the shakes, I was picturing breaking that damn needle off in my leg the whole time. How would I get it out then? That would be a bad trip to the ER. Got it all in and pulled the sucker out. Covered the spot and cleaned up feeling about as proud as a peacock. Felt like I had earned my damn wings or something. I signed back on to the boards feeling like a new man, a part of the brotherhood. Do the deed bro, provided you've done your homework, its a sweet step in the direction you apparently want to go. Don't rely on anyone else cuz this is a personal thing, atleast it is for me. Peace and congrats ahead of time.
 
It is good and all that you feel more manly or earn your wings or rite of passage, but a lot of good it will do if you break off the pin or don't aspirate and then become needle shy. I would still get someone who knows what they are doing if you have someone available, to show you what to do and not to do, if you are going to do it yourself. It's one thing to read about it on the net and see it in real life.
 
Ice the area down with a 3 inch x 3 inch square of ice. Hold it down on the injection site for 20 minutes. There will be a red ring on the skin with white in the middle. Inject it right in the middle of the white part. You won't feel a thing at all and after a while you won't even need the ice. The really should alleviate any anxiety about sticking yourself. I used to be just like you nervous as hell. Now I look forward to those days where I get to stick myself.

I've never even seen a 17g. I use 18g to extract the oil, but sticking that or bigger is crazy. Hardlife- aspirating is as simple as telling them to do it, You just did and any instructions on the net or anywhere else would mention it. I saw numerous studies in which you'd have to inject something like 3cc directly in a vein to cause serious heart probs which is what I imagine you're getting at. Breaking a needle off while it can happen is not a huge threat and whose to say the guy he gets will be much steadier. I'd be more nervous inject someone else. My point is that I wasn't trying to make it out as some macho rite, I was trying to motivate him to overcome his concern b/c once he does it, he'll realize that it isn't so difficult. I feel you have to be self-reliant when it comes to gear and I would trust anyone else with an injection. When I go to get a flu shot (though not this year) I always wish they'd let me do it myself. I hate relying on anyone else. Ironwuu- I'd just do it bro, not as a rite of passage, but because if you've done the research and taken the risks to obtain your cycle then you are committed to going the whole way to get the body you deserve. This is a small step, but you gotta take it and you'll feel gerat when you do it, on your own. Just my 2 cents. Peace
 
I had someone injecting me, untill finally, after reading all those 'Just stab yourself and get it over with' threads, I decided to just do it...

I knew that if I would hesitate for only one second, I was going to stare at it for half an hour, and then just chicken out... so I just cleaned the spot, drew that syringe, put on another needle, and jammed that mofo in... to my surprise it didn't hurt at all... maybe it was the adrenaline rush or whatever... I just aspirated, and then pushed the oil thru... pulled it out, cleaned the spot again to get rid of the blood and that was it...

Did get a little bruise (about the diameter of a pen), probably moved around too much, but it didn't hurt...
 
I got that bruise the first time too, but I think it was because I was so amped that I had the pin pressed so hard againt my leg that it left a bruise from the round base at the base of the needle where it meets the plastic connector. I bet you did the same biker. By any chance were you using a 1incher b/c I was and I was pressing so hard to make sure I got deep enough. Found out later it was pointless b/c I have low body fat and was using my quad, but at the time I just wanted to make sure I made that jabbing count.
 
Wow :) I really appreciate you guys taking some off your time to encourage me! I actually do feel like this thread make me a little bit more at ease with injecting myself.

To answer: I do not have anyone to help me inject.. other than going to the ER asking them.. ;) And i'd like to do it myself the first time injecting AAS too.. sort of just "because".

I have studied injecting techniques.. sites, angles.. needles.. preparation ad nauseum..
Ill be using quad for my first shot.. so that i wont have the hassle of having to bend sideways doing it to my glute..

Upper/outside, at a slight angle with the needle towards the kneecap. 23 gauge 1.5inch.. 2 cc oil.. I have 200 pcs alcohol rubber thingies from "GPZ".. 70% alcohol.

From what i understand, i do not "rub" the area with those? Just ONE "swab".. so to leave the injecting spot wet with alcohol and let it dry off? (30 secs) I first thought it was the rubbing that got rid of the bacteria, but its the alcohol that just sits there that kills it? The reason for not rubbing would be not to get any bacteria from the surrounding onto the injection spot? Not sure about this procedure.

Ill be cleaning the vial top with alco rubber as well before drawing, and also changing needle before injecting, after drawing.

Ill be warming my leg before most likely like taking a shower.. and maybe just cool the injection spot with ice (before alcohol)

So much to think of.. since i have so many needles.. ( i bought 200 lol) im gonna take some out.. get used to them.. test how much is needed to break them.. maybe i can get the "scaryness" of the needle away this way...

Call me a pussy, i just wanna do this right! :)

I still got a few weeks until all my ancillaries gets here, and i wont start before that so i got time to try to get used to the needles before that.. :)

I remember seeing the 20g 1 1/2" pinz that came with my redijects and after several hours of procrastinating, I stuck it in and barely felt it. The pinz are so sharp, you barely feel them go in.
 
Karma to Boston Strangler. I wondered if I was the only one that did that. I also have a hot towel ready, after the pin is out; Ill use the towel to heat the area up quickly so the cold won't damage the gear. (Just in case it would).

You should draw with a big needle, like 18 guage then put on the 23 g. That way the needle is new and not blunted from sticking into vial/amp. Lube the 23g with a few drops of the oil before injecting. It will slide in like melted butter. :D
 
I've heard 18 gauge can sometimes rip out tiny chunks of rubber from the vial lid, anyone had that happen? I just use 23 gauge for drawing and then a fresh 23 gauge for injecting.
 
Nope, I put oil-based through a 29g slin pin all the time, as long as you warm it up it only takes about 10-15 seconds for 1cc. I use 25g for quads and glutes, 29g everywhere else.
 
We're all afraid of the unknown. Practice on an orange to become familiar with the use of the syringe and needle. I use the same 22g needle to draw and inject and it doesn't hurt. The only hurt or soreness comes afterword.
Be sure the needle is tight.
I keep some toilet paper handy to use as soon as the needle is pulled out in case of bleeding. Looking forward for your post injection post!
 
accidentally bought the 20g instead of 23 the other day. did my first injection and i definitely felt it more. still, no biggie.
