Need some date ideas

Okay folks, awhile back I messaged an attractive female friend who goes to my school, over facebook, and asked her if she wanted to hang out sometime this summer and her reply was this:

"sounds great, steve! give me a call sometime if you have an open weekend or something. my number is 651-***-****. i'll put your's in my phone too. hope to see you soon!" -Keri

She sent me that like a little over a week ago (I've kinda been being a pussy, and I havent called her yet) She saw my number listed in my profile, and said she would add that, so she had opportunity to call me too, but hasnt.

Okay, but I plan on calling her, and maybe tonight, if I can come up with an idea of something to do while we are hanging out.

I'm deathly afraid that I wont be able to find an idea to entertain us both, and that because of that we both will have a boring experience and she wont want to see me again, so what are some good date ideas? or hanging out ideas? (if you're hanging out with a female one on one)

Its funny, when I'm with my friends, we dont even come up with a plan, we just meet up at each others house, and either think of things to do when we are there, or just have fun by doing nothing :)

To be honest, what I really want from this girl right now, is to just be able to sit on the couch with her, cuddle with her. and make out with her. Unfortunately I know that this process usually takes awhile to get through, and you have to pass a lot of tests and hurdles first, before you can get to this point.

So any ideas? I have a number this time at least. Thats better than having nothing, while asking these questions. :)

simple date plan. pick her up, go to a casual dinner, then got to the movies or maybe take a walk, it's that easy...

I like my "go Fishing" idea, get her on a boat in the middle of the lake and she cant escape him, no other place can avoid that inevitably with evansteve.

I'm sorry. I guess I should have asked for your location. Where are you located? They have arcade games. I love the games where you sit on motorcycles and race the other person. I think it is a great place to break the ice. After 8 or 9, you have to be 21 or over to enter (i.e, you don't have to worry about little rugrats running around).

Does she like sports? Take her to a sports bar and watch a game.

okay, so today is memorial day, and i didnt have work, and it still feels like its part of the weekend, so u think its safe to call her, even though she said "give me a call one of these weekends" ?

I might see if she wants to do something tonight.

I live in Roseville, MN a suburb of St. Paul.
Arcade games are fun, I might have to check that out. And rugrats are ghey, so the less of them there are the better.

I'm not really into sports, which might strike all of you as surprising, coming from a guy.

How about you call her, ask how she's doing in small talk and get to know her better, then say, hey, lets get together this weekend, Ill call you later in the weekend etc... She may think youre not interested if you dont stay in contact

talking on the phone is weird though, I'd rather talk to her in person. Like I dont know how long to talk to her for, and I feel like its easier to play 'hard to get' or 'pretend im not interested' games over the phone (which I dont like).

heck, how long should I aim to talk to her, if I'm just calling to chat her up on the phone?

and wouldnt it be more smooth to just do one call, for arranging the date? (that way you arent over hyping the date on the weekend?)

Play games? you ask for advice on how to do things b/c you dont dont know how to socialize so I tell you what to do in specifics to help you out and your condescending in return. A normal person would know when to end the call, but I gave you the advice so that you know when is a good time to end it, and that is on a positive note, thats not playing games, its just good communication skills. If you dont want specific advice on how to make a phone call then dont ask for it.
Youre overthinking everything, this should consume about five minutes of your thought, you just pick up the phone and call spontaneously, spontaneous conversation with her and then end it so it doesnt drag on and she dreads your phone call b/c you talk too long.

ha, in the scenario that you are talking about the person wanted to write the entire email, and then send it from an address making it look like it was coming directly from me.

I was against that, because that was plain dishonest. then the person told me what to write in the email and told me to send that, and I did that (because this time at least it was coming from me)



The phone number thing is tricky, because a girl might think its awkward if some middle man from another state is trying to make a hookup with her and me.

she emailed me back and all, it took a couple weeks cuz she was busy but she replied. it was a nice response. i guess i coulda emailed her back before finals ended, but i think i didnt get around to it. :(

but she lives locally, so maybe i could email her now and ask if she wants to hang out.

i have a right to be chicken. women are some of the most critical creatures i know. you mess up with them, and they start making judgements.

men have to be extremely socially sharp around them. i guess i could just non-schalantly call her, but Id probably end up breaking social code in one way or another, and ruining any chance of me gettin with her.
