Need Help With Creatine!!

is creatine good for basketball?

sup, im a basketball player for one of the top teams in canada for my age. i was woundering if anyone had any knowledge on creatine. and would it help me for basketball (jumping, first step, defence, speed). i was thinking i would go on it in the off season for around 2-3 months and power train like crazy. get big cuz of the water retaining and the lean muscle i can put on.
then i will get off of it go on a ply program for 8- 12 weeks and get off the creatine while doing the plyometrics. since i will get off the creatine i will lose weight and i will feel lighter.
would this help me or not?
ps im also on a protein diet. should i get off of it during the power training or stay with it?
pps whats a good fat % for a ball player
im also a two guard and im 5 9 and im close to dunking (hit back rim) do you think my vert can increase?
 
Creatine will do nothing but improve your over all fitness which in turn helps lead to a better performance. You will get stronger, more muscular, more exploseive power and muscualr endurance benefits.

My advice when tacking creatine for maximum results is to train with low reps in weights and do some sprint work.
If you do 5 sets of bench press from reps 1-5 then your max will increase alot, do the same for deadlifts. Higher reps on squats help more with basketball.

I used to play for the county over here. Swansea youth Basketball shooting guard ;)

get some sprint work done, do plyometric training each once a week along with two days of weights and you will love creatine.
dont use for more than 6 weeks after loading.
