Need Help Bro's!!

Hey Bro's, I'm in dire need of your thoughts on this! I went and had my self meteabolicly tested to see where I stand, cause my goal is to lose bodyfat, while maintaining muscle mass. My results were,

5'10 241lbs. 27%BF "I know to much!"
My RMR is 2123cal.
Maintence 3397cal.

My goal is to get down to 210lbs. 14-16%BF

My nutritionist set me at around 2800cal. a day, but here is the kicker, she set me at a ratio of,

25%protein
53%carbs
22%fat

I always thought to eat ATLEAST one gram of protien per pound of bodyweight everyday, but at these ratio's there is no way!
:worried:

This seems like way to many carbs, and not enough proteins to me.
I'm doing this steroid free, although I will add in some thermorexin, creatine,
and amplify02.
This chick is a registered nutritionist, so I would hate to question her, but what do you guys think??

My training is as follows....

Sun. 30min. cardio
Mon. Back, Calf, Forearms, 30min. cardio
Tues. REST
Wed. Chest, Shoulders, Abs, 30 min. cardio
Thurs. REST
Fri. Thighs, Biceps, Triceps, 30min. cardio
Sat. 30 min. cardio

Help me out Elite Bro's!
Thanks.........

how did you get that tested.... it has something to do with bloodwork or something doesnt it

got tested running on the treadmill, breathing through a oxygen mask hooked up to there computers, kind of like the old gatorade commercials. tested RMR like that just sitting and relaxing for around 15 min. and tested anabolic threshhold on the treadmill, adding an incline every minute and a half till I was damn near all the way up sucking wind!

are you paying her? to do what she's suggesting?

i usually go 40% protien 40% carbs 20% fats for a while then i cut the carbs even more

about 1.5 grams of protien per pound

#1 if you are trying to lose weight there are no rest days. Even if it justs means 30-60minutes of brisk walking. do something.

you need to increase your cardio, if that means lower intensity in order to do that then do 30minutes of high to moderate intensity and then 15-30 minutes of moderate to low intensity. Especially if you are only doing cardio on those days.

NOTE- 25% of 2800 cals is 700 cals which is 175 grams of proteins, thats pretty close to 1 gram per pound of lean mass (241 @ 27%).

That is pretty close. Looks like she knows what she's doing. If she does, as you make progress those percentages will change (higher protein, higher fats, less carbs). Keep us posted of your progress.

Thanks for your replys guys, I will keep you posted of progress.

There's nothing to inhibit your asking her to explain the reasoning behind her directions, especially if you're paying her.

At the moment, I'd suggest that she's keeping your carbs high while she gets an idea of how you respond and how determined you are. A 40/30/30 diet might work well for someone leaning out but the situation is different for someone who is just starting out at 25+% and probably accustomed to a high percentage of carbs in their diet.

Just ask the lady.
