Need advice

I've been a competitive figure (bodybuilding) competitor for several years and I'm interested in training for a marathon. When it comes to bodybuilding I know a lot about diet/training, but I don't really know how I should train to increase my performance as a runner. I just started taking cytomel to lose some mass. Even at 6% bodyfat, I still weigh about 135lbs. I've been running about 6 miles a day and I have not lifted weights in about 3 weeks. I have the energy to run more, but my knees and hamstrings start to bother me if I run more than I'm running now. Right now I need to lose weight. Will I be able to lose weight and improve my endurance by running and taking anavar? When training for figure competitions, I found that when I was on a cycle, I would lose bodyfat, but not so much weight. Can anyone give me advice on supplements/performance enhancements/diet/training??

An AAS like anavar would likely cause you to gain weight. The longer you stay away from weights, the more muscle you should lose. At 6% you likely wont lose much fat.

Oh, and Var makes my legs cramp bad when running.

Cytomel is a terrible idea.....great for dropping lbm...but it also dampens the body's natural immune response.....

All you have to do is modify the diet to mainly carbs to fuel the running...the increase in activity will drop the mass on its own.

Ever seen a muscular long distance runner??

No....and you wont

Drop the Cytomel....

You’re actually comparing apples to potatoes, you don’t have any fat to lose,

Cytomel is not your friend in this contest, your simply preparing for a different sport.

Competitive figure athletes have completely different muscular structure than marathon runners.

I don’t think gear will help you, you will drop muscle and fat when training for endurance and marathon. You will sacrifice the great shape and body you developed for your figure contest. Marathon runners actually don’t look healthy; they look more like chemo patients.

In my humble opinion...I think it depends on how quick you are running marathons, sub 3 hours ...chemo patient. 4 1/2 to 5 hours... not so much.

I've done marathons and cytomel will not help a thing. At your stage you need to hit the miles and owrry about building up your body for the pounding that 26 miles and 385 yards does to your body.

If you are a totally newbie for long distance running this is the wrong place - head to runnersworld.com and they have a simple to use calculator to use which will map out everything. They even give you diet tips. Note that it takes at least 16 weeks to get in shape - it involves so much more than building up cardio - your joints and tendons will get hammered.

I did my first marathon on only 8 weeks of training - finished in under 3 1/2 hours - but fucked up my body bad. If I had to do it all over again I'd do it 'clean' like I did it the first time. AAS, EPO and all of the other 'goodie's are of no value to a first time marathon runner.

Good luck.

I could never run a Marathon, my arches are 44 degrees.

But good luck, anyone who does finish get respect from me.

How about looking into T3? that is said to decrease muscle mass and it definately aids in weight loss. As far as strength and endurance is concerned I have no idea maybe someone else does. A good person for you to talk to about this is Sassy69 and/or The Short one both females but they will have a better perspective on how the various substances can affect the female body.

T3 is the last drug a long distance runner should use...especially a female. T3 effects the absorption of calcium and women need calcium - especially runners for their bones.
