Need a new routine

Something similar to 5x5 but not 5x5 due to the fact that I didn't plan my cycle around it and have already started it. I'm really trying to get tons of growth in my shoulders/traps/chest. They are big weakspots of mine. Any suggestions?

5x5 is amazing for strength and muscle density gains but for size id stick to a traditional bodybuilding split. Not to say 5x5 does not add size, it does, rep range of 8-12 is better if that is your goal though.

I agree also about the 5x5 and the traditional split. But what i am searching is that the 5x5 is reccomended from a lot of people and is guaranteed to work very good. Isnt there a traditional split routine that is lets say one of the tops in this category that all are recommending it as the 5x5?

I am looking for a traditional split to do after the 10 week 5x5 but there isnt one that most people follow. can anyone help?

If you are after full body workouts, then the 5x5 could be a good option. Bench squat and dead monday, wednesday and friday. You could add in extra exercises to assist the lifts. Again, this program is a strength routine, a split would add more muscle mass if that is your goal. Which ever you decide to do, hope it works out for you.

damn do people read posts before they respond. Thanks for the help and all but the first line of my post says...

hey boardin
i also have done 5x5
i find that a HST program mixed with 5x5 works great
google HST forum and youll find all sorts of good info
imo do 5x5 till u plateau then HST then revert to 5x5 etc etc swap between the two keeps things fresh and moving along nicely
