Naturally low T levels -- on the patch now, what to do?

100 mg of test per month isn't enough. My Dr. prescribed 200mg every two weeks. I started taking Androgel but I told him it made my skin itch and asked if he would prescribe the injectable instead.

Is your Dr. trying to get to the root cause of your low test? My first lab results had my total test at 71 ng/dl (or is it ml?). I just remember that it was about 1/4 of what the lowest level should have been. That was before I had ever done a cycle. My doc had some MRIs done and it looks like I have some type of tumor or cyst on my brain near the pit gland. My LH was low also. He's speculating that the tumor/cyst is causing problems with pituitary functioning. At least they've told me that the tumor isn't big enough to require surgery to remove it.

I'm 29 and have the same problems bro.
100 mg injectible test cyp every 5 days works very well for HRT.

The patch is not very effective. I would ask for injectible cyp. Alternatively, I have seen a few posts with positive feedback about Testim, a newly approved HRT gel. It is supposed to be better absorbed then Androgel.

CPFAN, search for my thread, "check out these lab results". I'm 20, and without ever doing a cycle, my natural level was at 320 and I raised it to 430 (which is decent) just by using avena, tribulus, and flax oil (though it might just have been one of them that worked).

Who said free test is supposed to be 2% of total? My free test turned out to be 17 out of 430, which is 4%. Maybe it was the avena... And by the way, the normal range for free test according to my lab doesn't go up to 43, but only to 27 or so.

Fast Twitch, I might have a similar tumor because prolactin is high and LH and FSH are still low (they weren't affected by the tribulus). I'm going to get my brain checked out again once I get back to the US, because I don't trust the MRI results I got here. I was thinking about cabergoline, that seems to work on tumors that affect the pituitary.

I hear ya bro, good doctors are hard to find and in a way I feel for them because the hospitals and malpractice insurance really make it a hard profession for them to be reputable. A lot of general practicioners will have you keep coming back to have crazy-expensive tests done (ultrasounds, MRI's, etc.) before wanting to send you over to an endocronologist.
In my opinion, no one knows (or cares) more about you than...YOU! I would suggest to read as much as possible about the bloodwork results tell you because there is a good chance even a doctor won't exactly know. I had doctor telling me over and over again that I needed more protein in my diet when I was fucking already getting over 500+grams!
If you have determined that you need HRT, then go for it. I don't see how 100mg Test/wk with 500iu HCG would cause any harm over a one month period. If it works great, then find a doctor that would prescribe it to you as legitmate HRT.

Your numbers and story sound totally out of whack.

Besides your Test levels being lower than a 90 year old woman on a soy-diet, your thyroid levels seem pretty goddamn low too.

....

TSH being low is good - it means that his body is seeing enough T3 that it has turned down its demand for it while a high TSH means that there's too little T3.
