natural testosterone??

i wasnt sure what section to post this in but i read a artical the other day that said direct sunlight can have a major effect on your natural testosterone by as much as 65%..... then it went on to say that you should try to get 50 to 55 minutes of direct sunlight a day and how most people, even people who work outside dont get the full 55 min.. it has to be direct like sun tanning.... is there any truth to this???
 
‎8 ways to increase testosterone naturally that I have researched.

1. start your workout with compound exercises such as deadlifts, squats, bench press, rows. 2. push your body to the limit when you workout. end the set at failure or 1 or 2 reps before.
3. train your legs equally as hard as the upper body.
4. eat more GOOD fats.. extr...a virgin olive oil, flax, fish oil, nuts etc

‎5. reduce intake of all soy. it releases estrogen.
6. stay away from alcohol.
7. meditate, dont overtrain, don't have a stressful or negative lifestyle
8. quality sleep. you should be in bed no later then 10pm and wake up when the sun ...comes up. that is how we evolved!

good info man i do most of those things natually its part of my routine.. the only one i didnt know about was the soy!! i dont really consume much soy but thats still really good to know.. and i gotta admit on days i dont work im bad about staying up real late and sleeping in.... the main reason i was asking about the sunlight is becuase it was actually emailed to me by a guy that i consider really knows his stuff about bodybuilding so i figured i would see what elite fitness memeber thought of it
 
I'm pretty sure test levels are higher in the morning, so maybe morning training would be better?

test levels are highest from 4-8am.

yes if you want to max out and see how strong you are hypothetically it would be better to do this in the morning after a solid breakfast and lots of water.

I am a strong advocate of morning workouts, but a lot of guys cant do it cause of work
 
Dont forget saturated fats, those increase test a decent amount.
Tannning does increase test in most people, especially if you are full nude.

yeah its funny about soy.. those guys that love sushi and tofu (which is DUNKED with soy/soybean oil) tend to be scrawny. so there is truth to this. i bet their test levels are lower

a lot of protein bars have soy.. its a cheap ingredient after all. whether the benefits of eating those bars outweigh the downside i have no idea. sometimes its easier to grab a bar before the gym then cook something up.

Numbers 1 & 2 do nothing at all to improve baseline levels. You get a brief spike that does fuckall for recovery. If your levels are low they'll go right back to being low 40 minutes later.

i have become very interested in raising natural testosterone do any of you suggest a book thats worth reading about it or just a book containing good info about bodybuilding diets workouts or for that matter anything body building?? i have seen many books out there but its hard seperate the ones that are facts and the ones that are garbage! i have realized in my search for the body i want that reading can help bodybuilding/ weightlfting and its just as mental as phyiscal... so if any of you guys have a suggestion on any good reads please let me know

definately stick to those 8 things i listed. especially doing deadlifts and squats.. leg days are very important.. so many guys skip it. it has helped me tremendously make gains since I upped by leg workouts even though I haven't been on cycle since June. our legs are our trunks.. the upper body will perform better with strong trunk underneath
 
also I left out sex being another testosterone booster, although it could be brief. i still believe that guys who get laid often have higher test if anything due to better state of mind and confidence.

it could be also due to the way we evolved. the stronger men were picked by the women to bear their children and so on.
so have sex and the body reacts by releasing testosterone.
 
Which explains why I always getta boner in the tanning bed hmm...
 
i always train legs its my favorite workout becuase im really strong in squat!! and i plan on doing a squat comp early next year.... but i have actually read another artical about having sex and test levels... it said dont have sex the day before a comp cuz it can effect your performance becuase of low test levels but then it went on to say that having sex regularly is good because it actually boost the demand for test in the long run becuase test in the body is a supply and demand thing if you have to much of the supply the demand goes down but if you supply is running low then the demand gets higher thus raising your levels in the long run
 
The reason for not having sex before a fight has nothing to do with low test it's the endorphins releast after that causes you to be calm after orgasm which cause you to be less agressive... i've orgasmed 3 times an hour before my workout many times and it didn't effect my lifts what so ever I just felt half assed during the workout

thats right.

in eastern medicine they also say it depletes the spleen.

just imagine a video game where your energy bar gets dropped, that is the same idea behind it.

and blowing a load will de-hydrate you as well which may not seem like a big deal but you want every advantage you can get especially before a fight or before you plan on a hard workout
 
Which probably explains all the gay ass grapling and wrestling they do in mma insteada stand up fighting lol

c.k- you do know wrestlers and ground guys win more fights then guys who like to strike right in todays mma world you have to be a complete mma fighter with good stand up and ground im a huge fan of guys who like to stand up and fight but you gotta have it all now adays

Yes, ultra violet and infra red rays affects hormone production.

People have gotten so afraid of sunlight. As long as you don't burn, it's healthy to get some sun.

I even have a friend who proved it to me.

He's 18 right now.

Weight 260lbs-280 (Last time I've seen him at a wedding he was 270, it was 4 month ago)
Hight - 6'1"
BF: 15-17% (maybe less, but he has a 4 pack)

Bp- 405
deadlift - 600 (it was 600 something, i forgot.)
squat (495)

Not even kidding I've seen him and just said WTF dude! he went from a 220 pound fat kid in 4 years to a fucking monster.

Jesus 22" arms with veins popping out of them. when he put his arm around me (messing around) almost killed me. Then he wanted to show me some football tricks, because we both play d.end, i passed on it, i didnt want to get killed.

(I'm not a scrawny guy)

So I ask him, how the fuck you get so disgustingly big!!?

His reply, "I just worked out my legs, squatting deadlifting, and the rest just grew by itself" (not literally he still did upper body but mostly focused on legs)

That was my wakeup I started lifting heavy ass weights (for me at least)

But here a true story how a little fat kid became a scary ass monster, all thanks to legs.

I dont think he's a natural with those stats at 18, atleast he says he is and when I accuse him he still denies, it.. but who cares that fucking big at 18!!!!!

yeah i played football back in school and now since i have been out of school for a while i lost contact with most of my old friends but since i been going to the gym this year i have met up with a bunch of them and i think alot of them are on the juice!!! there just to strong for there size and experience in the gym... i got a buddy that is 21 years old and weighs 200 pounds on a heavy day and is repping 600 pounds on squat 400 plus pounds on bench 600 plus pounds on deadlift and a year before this he was doing half this amont of weight if he was lucky..... i got another buddy thats in his 30s that is benching and squating 700 pounds i dont know how much he deadlifts but they both swear up and down that they are all natural....

and it wouldnt bother me if they was on the juice hell i dont care what bothers me is we was all really close at one time and they wont be honest with me

your right people are scared of the sun light.... i work outside for a living and if my boss would let me i would take off my shirt and work i love the feeling of the sun on my skin
