Narc is by far one of the best cop movies in the past decade. Ray Liotta was robbed when Oscar time came around.

Magnolia is worth it just for Cruise's performance.

Cruise was good in that movie
but IMHO Julianne Moore and Philip Seymour Hoffman performances were just as good (in not better)

....and the "singing scene" brings a lot of emotion

Finally saw Magnolia...Awesome dramatic performances all the way around,with Cruise's character being the charasmatic,not-all-is-what-it-seems center of the show.Oscar caliber performances from several of the stars,but not the type of movie I would want to watch over and over,as it is quite depressing and dismal in its overtones.I recommend everyone to see it once though,as the performances are ones to be remembered.

After a couple of Super hero - kung fu - Space invaders - zombies movies (how entertaining they may be) I feel the need to watch such a movie as Magnolia -foe the true emotion it gives - even though I know you just want to take a Prozac and go to bed after it

id argue that hes done a lot better like the godfather part II, taxi cab and raging bull

ever seen "The Deer Hunter" or "OnceUpon a Time in America" (great deNiro movies)

"Taxi Driver" and "raging bull" were just as good also!
